Salon Elite and Barber Co in Youngsville, LA

Rachel at Salon Elite has been cutting my family's hair for 10 years. She has always given great cuts, even on children and men with difficult cowlicks.

The salon itself is nice, great location.  Unfortunately my last experience was not good.  Mavis highlighted my hair; I didn't notice until I got home and styled it myself how "stripey" and uneven it was.  There were also several places along my part where the foils weren't left on long enough and not enough pigment was lifted, leaving me with crazy looking multi toned hair.  Some parts of my hair were white, other parts were orange.  I contemplated calling and having her try and fix it, but unfortunately this is not the first time she messed up on my hair.  I thought that the previous mistake was a one off; poor judgment on my part.  It is clear that she lacks experience coloring hair.  I decided to go somewhere else to have my hair fixed.  A lot of time and money wasted!

Mavis did a balayage on my hair. It was very choppy and had no dimension whatsoever. I had shown her a picture of what I had wanted and it turned out nowhere near what I desired. I immediately had to make an appointment at a different salon to get it fixed. Do yourself a favor, avoid Mavis.

I recently relocated to the Lafayette, Louisiana area and was in search of a new hair salon. I happen to come across Salon Elite.

The salon itself is clean, cute and cozy. The staff members did a good job of making it a welcoming/friendly atmosphere.

My appointment was with Mavis, who is simply amazing. She took her time with me and listened to all my wants and needs. She definitely went above and beyond what I was expecting. By the time she was done with me I felt like a whole new person.

Thank you again Mavis and the rest of the girls at the salon, I look forward to becoming ohana! (Hawaiian for family)

Best hair stylist I've ever had. They are outgoing, funny, the opposite of dull and they do an awesome job.
