Salon 3Twelve in Mt Pleasant, MI

Really like how they cut my hair, they actually cut it the way I want it. Could be cheaper, but at least they can get your hairstyle the way you want it. Also do eyebrows as well.

I called the day before and booked an appointment for a shampoo, haircut and style before I had to drive down near the Metro Detroit Area later for a wedding with Jani (or Jayy-me?) last saturday at 11:30 a.m. The hair service normally takes 30 minutes with my normal hair dresser. Side note, this salon has treated me well with their hair services. I consider myself a generous tipper since I work in tipped wage as well. My hairdresser Liz and the other stylists always take care of me with respect. My nail appointment prior , went five minutes over and I ended up being ten minutes late for my hair appointment. I walked in to Jani? saying she has an appointment at 1, so she has to do a quicker service than usual, I said that wasn't a problem. I would just love a trim and a quick blow dry for the wedding later. Walking up to the chair, she then tells me that she's going to service my hair by FLAT IRONING my unwashed hair and DRY CUT IT... since she has an appointment at 1. I stated it was only 11:43 and she said, this appointment is actually 12. She denied me service after making an appointment knowing it was for a special occasion. There was no one else in the salon but her and her off-the-clock coworker. I have never been so disappointment in someone. She said "sorry," and I left. The whole event didn't sit well so I called and said I really didn't appreciate the way she communicated with me and Ive never really heard any hair stylist deny a planned service, to customer who has booked in advanced. Long story short... I said I didn't expect her to service my hair after all of this and she said "Im sorry, (monotone voice) is there anything I can say to MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER" Salon 3 Twelve is a great salon. Im talking about the one individual worker who turned into what was supposed to be a day of happiness and relaxation, into a stressful outcome.

I had my eyebrows waxed here and a shellac manicure and I am very happy with both! Friendly staff and very clean salon. I would return to this salon for future services.

I scheduled a blow out at this salon for a wedding I was attending in Mt. Pleasant, and was a little trepidatious of getting "Mt. Pleasant Hair" (I went to high school there). I asked for "bouncy, curled under, with some volume at the crown" - you know, the absolute standard blow out. What I got was the EXACT opposite - lank, volume-less hair with so much product in it it clung to my head. I had to rush to completely redo it at the hotel to make it look somewhat decent, and ended up having to put the front up to deal with the lankness. In the stylist's defense, I did not tell her I had a problem with it - it was so bad I wanted out of there - so she didn't get a chance to fix it. The stylist took pride in telling me her flat iron was only $13, and the salon overall was dirty - clumps of hair mopped into corners, gross bathroom. The only positive was that it was cheap - $17.

The salon staff were all very friendly when I arrived, and I was seated quickly. They offer hair, nail and tanning services. I was here for a pedicure. Great pedicure, Laura did a wonderful job with the nail art and it was a very relaxing experience. I am going back for a shellac manicure next.
