Salon & Co. in West Bloomfield Township, MI

I had done research on blonde specialists in the area, and I found one at Salon + Co. I talked to "B" over DM, and she said she could "totally" achieve white blonde with me. On 3/30/24, "B" had turned my hair charcoal/green. She ended up leaving the salon without an apology or a goodbye. The owner and manager offered to try to "fix" my hair. After taking the toner out, the owner tried to gaslight me into thinking that I "must have had" red hair at one point - I have not - because she was pulling red/pink out of my hair. They redid my highlights and toner to "fix" the pink, and after 8 hours, it was "done." They charged me over $200 for "product" expenses. I naively paid. When I got home, I realized my hair was very dry & frizzy. Not the normal I'm used to. A few days later, a bridal stylist noticed that my hair was very damaged & still pink from Salon & Co. I DMed the owner, Kenzie, to get a refund so I could go get my hair fixed. She refused. "No refunds." After some back and forth, she said she would no longer talk to me over DM. On 4/9/24, I went to the salon to show her my damaged/pink hair and to ask for a refund. I also showed her pictures of my hair quality from before, and what I had initially asked for on 3/30/24 compared to what I had been given. I asked her what she would do if she was me. She became angry and defensive. She acknowledged that my hair is not what I asked for, but that they still would not refund me. She then kicked me out of the salon (almost wouldn't let me grab my belongings either) & blocked me on social media.

I understand there is damage when it comes to bleaching your hair. I was very clear with my stylist about how I felt & if we couldn't keep the same color I had & healthiness I would rather just leave it & do a trim but was reassured that it would be fine & she could do my roots & some other uneven parts of my hair & my hair was fine to handle it. 5 hours later I then left with different colored roots & severly damaged hair!

Totally depends on the hair dresser of course, but I have had positive experiences. Not always the exact colors I'm going for, but does always look good. Salon is really cute and a fun vibe. Would definitely recommend!

This salon is the worst I have ever been to in all my years. Let the pictures speak for themselves. They literally let me walk out looking crazy promising to fix it the next week for free because it would be too harsh on my hair to fix the same day. And then when i got back the following week they charged me money and still weren't able to fix anything! Police were involved but I have to take them to court because its civil.

Kristen is the BEST! She is so talented and my highlights are always on point she always brings my hair visions to life
