S & S Appliance Inc in Franklinville, NJ

Had to call to confirm my apt, never received a call back, finally got ahold of someone. Said he would order a part and call me when it was in. Never ordered the part. Never bothered calling back. Horrible service.

I've been a customer of theirs for 12+ years. They are always courteous, on time, not overly priced and most important very honest. I have had every major appliance in my house repaired by them and they have been terrific!

After my refrigerator stopped cooling on September 24th, I called lowes warranty and they set up an appointment with S&S appliance for October 2nd. Bill was very professional and called the Friday before and told me to unplug the whole fridge and let it defrost, which we did. He showed up on time for his appointment and was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Well, he didn't fix the problem. So it took 3 days for him to call me back to tell me that he is ordering a computer for my fridge and it should be in in 4 to 5 days. I had already rescheduled with lowes for bill to come back out to fix it. A week goes by and still no call from bill. THEN HE NEVER SHOWS UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT AND HE TELLS LOWES THE PART IS ON BACKORDER. LOWES TOLD HIM THAT THE PART IS NOT ON BACKORDER AND FOR HIM TO CALL ME TO RESCHEDULE. IT IS NOW OCTOBER 19TH AND STILL NO CALL. THANKS BILL!!! THIS IS WHY APPLIANCE REPAIR GUYS GET A BAD NAME. I AM STILL WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR. LOWES AND S &S ARE HORRIBLE. I will be contacting BBB for a complaint to be filed

Home Depot scheduled a repair of my washer with S & S Appliance & HVAC. I was to receive a call 2 days prior to visit. No call, so I called, left message, left message, left message, etc. Get the picture. NO SHOW. His message says (paraphrased) that he may be on a roof or in the basement. I think this is a joke. Home Depot is responsible for all of it. This guy can be a jerk, and is a jerk for not returning the calls or showing up. But, Home Depot is to blame for him being a jerk. BBB and posting to FB may help others not get sucked into this SCAM.

Well I wish that Yelp didn't require me to give a star when one isn't due. I placed a call for service on a Monday that went unanswered so I called again on Tuesday. The message advises you to text so I did that after another half day passed with no return call. Bill called and seemed friendly enough and told me that he would be out the next day, Wednesday. I had a 9-1 window for service. I texted Bill at 1 to co firm that I didn't misunderstand the schedule since I hadn't heard from him and took a day off of work. No return call. I called and texted again on Thursday to give the benefit of the doubt before I called Lowes to file a complaint against this shoddy vendor they subcontract warranty repairs to. The previous reviews are on point. I would highly suggest you not patronize a business that cant handle basic telephone calls to customers.
