Rustic Pear Salon in Twin Falls, ID

I truly was excited to make an appointment for 2 pedicures for my friend and I. I called the number and the answering machine said to got to Facebook and send a request on messenger. So I did that. Received an automated reply to enter my phone number and to call their number. Which I did .. again .. the same number as before and same request to go to Facebook . So I went to Facebook again. Messaged again ... it said my phone number needed to be valid. I have a Wyoming prefix but live in Kimberly. 5 weeks and no reply. Unacceptable if you want clients! Or maybe you already have enough business

Visited the Rustic Pear and saw Jessica. I thought she did an excellent job and would rate her as a stylist as 4/5: she did great on my long overdue haircut and the pedicure was very stylish, well done.

The reason I rate a three is because what the salon offers as a pedicure, is not what I expect from a pedicure. They do not have the professional foot-baths and do not scrub and/or massage your feet. They only use a plastic tub and solution, then trim and paint your nails.

So, if you are looking for what I like to call 'the summertime sandal makeover', I'd suggest making an appointment somewhere else.

My review is specifically about the customer service aspect. One reviewer trashed the establishment and they couldn't be more wrong. I was greeted with kindness and treated with respect. The ladies were relaxed and far from snobby. Thank you Amanda for your care, I look forward to coming by again.

*I want to specifically review Jessica West who did a gel manicure and pedicure for me. The Rustic Pear seems like a cleanly place that's attempting to follow Covid guidelines.
I text her and set up an appointment when she was having a special. She was super easy to work with.
Got to the appointment and she did my pedicure first, everything was fine there. When we got to the manicure she was rough while removing my cuticles and even cut my finger when clipping them. Then she pulled out a dremel tool and dremeled the cuticle area. Which was weird, but would have been fine if she didn't also catch the skin behind my nails on a few fingers.

My fingers burned every time she put them under the led light and I know that's from the foundation getting on my skin. That's alright, but it usually only hurts when they're put under the first time. The final product was lumpy and uneven.
When I decided to take them off, my nails were weaker than ever which is the complete opposite of how my nails react to gel.

I just don't plan on returning here. I'm sure she was in a hurry or something, I would just proceed with caution if you have an appointment with her.

I recently had my first appointment at the Rustic Pear.  The experience was great.  Gabby was very professional and listened to what I wanted and executed it beautifully. The decor and character of this shop is so cool.  I love when businesses remodel the old buildings downtown.  Would highly recommend this Salon.
