Hollie did an absolutely amazing job on my nails, I always love the service I get when I go there. But I have to say these nails I got this time just top the cake.
This was one of if not the worst nail salons I've ever been in. First of all I was a walk in. Ok I expected to have to wait. Finally was in the chair for a set of nails. Before she could get started a lady entered that had an appointment and she was early. So I went back to waiting. Which was to be expected. But did she not know that she had an appointment? She even told the customer, but she never paid attention to her appointment book. I went on to the pedi chair for my pedicure. Other than being able to understand the technician the pedicure was ok. Eventually I ended up in the manicure chair for a full set of nails. I asked for acrylic nails and gel polish with the cats eye. I got dipped nails. Did get the cats eye. Told the manicurist that my left hand and wrist were hurt, please don't twist or pull on it. When I left I could barely move my hand it was hurting so bad from being pulled on and twisted. I asked for long nails, with oval shape. You guessed it. They are short and more square than oval. Needless to say I will not be returning to this salon. To say nothing about the speaking in another language.
If you're thinking about getting your eyebrows tinted here... Just don't. It was an absolutely awful decision. Turned my eyebrows jet black when I asked for medium brown multiple times and repeated that I keep would like to keep them light. While she was tinting then she walked out to do other things, thus leaving the tint on too long and making my brows black. Never going back here.
Rubys nail spa is not somewhere I recommend to go. They aren't very good at keeping up with appointments . It has happened twice where we arrange an appointment and then claim that I never booked a spot with them. Nina and Nini are very unpunctual with their appointments. Last time I went to this place, Nini told me that she was too busy to attend me ( When I had made an appointment) so I had to go with Nina. She seemed mad about it, too. She left my nails a mess! Therefore I do not recommend this establishment whatsoever.
After being in the salon for 2 hours I finally left with a less than mediocre pedi. I was sat right away but it took forever to get done. I had to tell the tech to cover the tip of the nail so it wouldn't chip. I had planned on getting a mani as well but after 2 hours I was out of time. I've never left a salon to go somewhere else like that before but I didn't have any other option.
