Red Bird Salon in Clarksville, TN

Despite my last review of them never keeping an appointment time I made another appointment. It was scheduled for 6pm and at 4:05 I got a call canceling my appointment! LITERALLY 2 hours before my appointment. And they were just gonna keep it at that. I was not having it. They ended up fitting us in with someone else at 6:30 and at 5:45 called asking if we could come at 6 instead. The cut was fine, it was for my 4 year old. But I won't be giving them a 3rd try. Very unprofessional, regardless of the managers reaching out on Yelp trying to save their reviews. This is not a way to run a business.

This was my first time at the salon and I was very excited. I came in with long hair, mid back length and asked for an inverted long bob. I figured cutting off at least 5" in the back.
Unfortunately, the gal that originally cut it didn't quite understand what I was asking for and cut it way too short, at least 7" and it looked like a regular bob, which is not what I wanted.
I waited and spoke with Diane, the owner. I was a mix of sad and angry. Not to mention, on the verge of tears. She listened to me. Her suggestions and comments were very calming and soothing. She put my mind at ease and said she had some ideas.
I waited till she was done with her current clients and calmly sat down in her chair. She cut another inch or so off the back and blended it to give a great style. Granted it is much shorter than I ever wanted but it looks great and the hair will grow back.
Diane did an amazing job and I can't thank her enough!

I am very disappointed with this salon, the very worse haircut I have ever had! The layers are all choppy looking. Not to mention the botched color job. When you pay $300. for this unprofessional job. When you go back to have it fixed and it looks the same. Smh. This is what I asked for versus what I ended up with.  All I heard were excuses about lighting and hard water for the botched coloring job. This place is overpriced and inexperienced.

It's been two years since I had a hair cut. I was a little nervous because finding a new hair stylist is almost like dating. However, after meeting Aminah and discussing what she was going to do I was no longer nervous! The scalp massage was probably my favorite part, soooo relaxing. Aminah did a great job, my hair feels healthy again. She also had some great product recommendations. Overall the salon is nice and clean. Everyone is really friendly and made me feel welcome. I'm excited to go back

My first time at the Red Bird Salon today! I loved everything about it!! From the first moment I arrived, everyone that I came in contact with said hello.  Diane was my stylist. She listened and talked to me about what I wanted.  She took the time to listen and discuss my options.  I have not found another salon in the area with this much attention to detail, making the customers needs the focus of the consultation.  So relaxing and enjoyable, clean and organized,  light and smartly decorated for a great salon experience.   Aminah did the finishing touches and was great, personable and thorough.   I left there today ready to recommend The Red Bird Salon to everyone!!
