So, I'm new to DeRidder but some things hold true no matter where you are. I know what I want but the nail tech seems to know better. I wanted a thin even smile line for my manicure because I wanted it to look like false nails. That's exactly what I got....NOT! After explaining this to her she explains that this looks better. can I at least get a decent smile curve? and what's this sparkly stuff on one nail? On top of that a manicure is merely a file and a hand scrub. Yep, you read that correct. Is this bizarro world? No cuticle maintenance or anything for either manicures or pedicures. All this after an hour wait. I'm sure this is a mistake. Please be a mistake.
Horrible! Very unfriendly service. Dirty. Brandy had three customers sitting in the pedicure chairs. She finished one customer, dipped the used metal tools in the "alcohol" cleaning solution, shook them off, and then tried to go to work on that new customer with the metal tools that had not been thoroughly nor properly cleaned. I immediately stopped her, asked about proper cleaning procedures, and she shrugged her shoulders and told me I could buy my own set if I wanted clean! Myself and the other customer, disgusted, left, but still had to pay $10 because our feet had soaked. Neither Brandy nor Tony (I believe his name was) seemed bothered that we left or cared that we were concerned about the lack of sanitation. Spend your money elsewhere. This place lacks sanitation and basic customer service.
Staff is rude...My friend and I felt as if we were "bothering" the staff (although we were the only people on there at the time). She also received a french tip manicure which was "crooked" on numerous fingers....I've been here twice now with the same experience and will not be going back again.
