Que Bella Salon in Monrovia, CA

I absolutely love this salon, the staff and of course.... Lorenzo. For many years I've wanted to cut my hair short but I was concerned if it would fit me. Lorenzo took the time and really made me look amazing! The cut is what I was hoping for: fun, sexy and edgy with a hint of sophistication. He is an artist and I will definitely continue to seek his services and will recommend him to my friends. A plus is that he is super funny.

My husband got me a Groupon to try a mani/pedi at this place in our area. The Groupon was very specific that I needed to make an appointment and let the salon know I was using a Groupon. I called to make an appointment to get a mani/pedi (which is what the Groupon was for) and they were booked for the weekend. I asked when the next available weekend was? The lady on the phone told me they were booked "for weeks" and made no effort to try to find another appointment. I called a couple of weeks later and this time I didn't mention that I was going to use a Groupon to see if I could get in. Again I was told that the manicurist was out of town and to call back. The Groupon expires in 3 months of purchase but I wasn't worried b/c the Salon wasn't trying to honor it and I know Groupon will give me a full refund. I walked in the next month after it was expired and told them in person that it was such a hassle to get an appointment over the phone. The stylist/receptionist was on her cell when I walked in and put the person on hold. She then handed me her cell and said "here talk to the manager, he's on the phone". I told the manager what happened with the Groupon and he said he would get me in for a mani/pedi next week. After hanging up with him, the stylist told me she would do a mani or pedi today if I had time and then come back for the other next week. I wanted both at the same time but I was already there so I received a pedi. She was nice but the damage was already done. The area where mani/pedis are done, was not ideal. It was a little section in the salon and the stylist already had a customer before she took me in. Every foot she would stop and either go wash out her other customer's hair or ask her to wait. It was horrible. She went from toes to hair! That's completely unsanitary. Then she scheduled my mani for the following week. I received an automatic text reminder one day before the appointment and then a confirmation phone call from the manager. I arrived at my apt about 20 mins early and the manager made sure to tell me I was early and no one was going to be ready until my scheduled time. I told him it was not a problem but the manager kept fishing for answers to "when you scheduled your appointment, did the stylist tell you to bring your Groupon?" and "What exactly did she tell you when you saw her last time?" They were absurd questions like I was being interviewed to get the stylist in trouble. I told the manager I would run a quick errand and then come back. I arrived at my scheduled time 20 mins later. The manager was no where in site and another stylist came up to me and gave me a message from the manager that the lady that scheduled my appointment is in Texas and she's the only one who can do nails. I knew he was just the messenger but I asked why my appointment was confirmed via text, phone call, and then, it wasn't mentioned to me when I was here 20 mins ago? The messenger asked for my mailing address so they could refund my money. I said absolutely not. I don't know what kind of business you are running and there's no way I am giving you my address. This salon is not for mani/pedi's. It's a hair salon. The manager has no idea how to deal with employee problems or problems in general. Take your business elsewhere! I reported them to Groupon as well.

Lorenzo is the best! He made my hair fabulous and he took the time to em plain what he was doing and why, he showed me how to use a flat iron to curl my hair. He's awesome

I came to Covina to have my car serviced at a local car shop. While waiting for my car I walked around downtown Covina and came across Que Bella Salon. What a gem of a place. The Stylist thing there was Lorenzo he took personal and incredible care. He listen to my thoughts and concerns. He made some recommendations and reassured me. Very easy person to talk to. He cut my hair first. Color was applied followed by wash and rinse. Blow dry & final standings done perfection beyond my expectation. I will be coming back again even though to a little bit of a drive. After all my hair and looks are worth it. This man is an artist and you cannot go wrong. Cheers.

This salon is a rip off. They sell Groupons for manicures but once you arrive the Manicurist disappears and Lorenzo offers to cut your hair or makes fun of you saying he will give you a pedicure. I think they use the manicure groupons as a lure so that Lorenzo can try to get you to cut your hair or style your hair. This place redeemed by groupons and then gave me and my daughter such a hard time on Mother's day weekend. My daughter was crying because she felt bad that they had treated us so wrong when we just walked in to get a service we had already paid for. This guy Lorenzo did not give me any apology but handed me a check and refused to provide services. His comments that he made as we stood there and waited were so rude and uncalled for. Please avoid having to deal with Lorenzo or Paul.
