Tonya is AMAZING....she listened to what I wanted and was honest about what she thought which is a good thing instead of just doing what I asked even thPugh it was very damaging for my hair... she knows her stuff one of the many few stylists I came across that actually has gone to school for hair... I'm very pleased with the results she did an amazing job and I'm glad I finally found a great hair stylist in Hilo... definitely will be going back to see her again... thanks Tonya

So this review is a few years old, but every time I get a terrible haircut that makes my head look like a deformed mushroom cloud, I think about my experience here. I walked in and this spectacular gem of a woman at a salon that, by what I've heard elsewhere does not heavily invest in training their stylists on the latest techniques (and also does not invest in renovating their spaces), proceeded to explain to me with excitement how she had figured out how to cut one of the hottest styles of the time ON HER OWN. I liked her enthusiasm and initiative and the fact that she seemed to get that a decent haircut should be stylish so I let her cut it, and it was one of the best haircuts I've had anywhere. Now there's a hair stylist! I hope I get to see her again one day. I wish I could remember her name.
