Platinum Salon and Day Spa in Portland, OR

I go to Melinda here and could not be happier and more satisfied. She is fantastic and the salon is nice. Prices are also great and plenty of parking.

I had an amazing time at Platinum Salon. I had driven by and remembered I needed my hair done, so I stopped in to see if they had any openings. The woman at the front desk let me know they were booked out for the day, but offered to sit me down with a stylist for a quick consultation and book an appointment for another day. Chelsea sat down with me and discussed my hair goals, gave me her phone number so I could text her pictures of what I wanted, and we booked an appointment. When the day finally came, I was ecstatic! The stylists here really love what they do and enjoy providing a great experience. I got exactly what I wanted, and even bought some of their products to try out. 1000/10!!!

I wish I could join the other positive reviews but unfortunately, I had a pretty disappointing experience. I'm new to the area and was looking for a new salon and platinum was able to get me in within a few days (hooray) during the midst of COVID. I asked for blended partial highlights and long layers - color came out fine but the cut was choppy and uneven. I didn't realize the cut was so bad until I got home. I called the salon to schedule a fix and wasn't able to get through to anyone. I emailed the owner of the salon and never received a response back. Disappointing and still on the hunt to find a decent salon in the area.

Newbie in town, it's always so hard to find a new stylist and I hit the jackpot out of sheer luck! I chose Platinum based on overall Yelp reviews and nearby location. Called to make a "first available with any stylist" appointment on a Friday afternoon and was able (lucky!) to get in with Martha the next morning. She's a true gem, knows her stuff and spent time with me discussing options and suggestions. Walked out with beautiful blonde baby lights and a great cut. She's adorable, a master in her craft and super sweet. Salon has a great vibe too. Go see Martha, highly recommend!

I have been desperately looking for a new stylist and hair salon, and Platinum is now my favorite place! Melinda was absolutely amazing!!! I have had issues in the past articulating what I want, but Melinda knew exactly what I was trying to describe. She is a true artist, and I walked out of there feeling GREAT! The conversation was super fun, and I really enjoyed the vibe/atmosphere. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I wish I had taken photos of the interior b/c it looked totally different from the pics on yelp. Perhaps they remodeled recently? At any rate, it looks great. Very open, clean, and modern with a super nice bathroom too! If you are on the fence, give this place a try and ask for Melinda. You won't regret it!
