I've been going to Paul for years now. I believe he's genuinely a nice guy (which is why I have thought about not writing this), but there has been a steady decline. The services are rushed and I've noticed that he even skips conditioner when at the washing station. For my last hair cut, I told him specifically what I wanted and walked out with something the complete opposite. I'm not one to make a fuss about my hair, but I'm extremely upset with the outcome. There's no way for me to style my hair to hide the way it was cut (extremely choppy). I spoke with another hairdresser who stated the cut is dated and was obviously rushed, and that without cutting the majority of the length off there's not much they can do to even it out. My other issue? The way he talks about each client when they walk out. My last visit was on a busy day and I watched him talk about the last four people as soon as they left without fail. He used first and last names, spoke about their other family members, etc. He spoke about these people with the next client in the chair, his sister, etc. You can also tell that he has a long time standing with some of these people based off of the information he has to divulge. It wasn't just my last visit, I noticed he has been talking about people for quite a while (it's not necessarily innocent gossip either, some of it is bashing). I just feel like he's gotten way too comfortable doing so. Long story short, I used to get a great hairstyle here but I will be going elsewhere moving forward.
I have been going to PJ for as long as I can remember. A+++++ service and all around great person.
