My experience here wasn't really terrible until the end. Philip is incredibly aggressive, rude and kind of scary. Be aware that when you go to this place the junior stylist Natalie gives a lot of unsolicited advice. From the moment I sat down in the chair and took out my ponytail all she could do was pull at my hair (which I'm not sure why she constantly needed to do) and tell me how much she "didn't like what was going on with my hair." She went to the length to show me the back of my hair to show me "what it's doing back there." I was trying not to laugh, because first of all my hair had an ombre, only IN THE FRONT and I must of had to explain this to her multiple times and tell her that my hair color was very intentional. She made me feel like I needed to defend my hair constantly throughout our conversation because she was bashing the current state of my hair so bad. I was trying my best to not let her offensive attitude make me emotional but I have never in my life had to repeat myself so much,  to get my message across to a hairstylist. And at the end of the day her title is "junior stylist" how can she think she has so much knowledge and expertise about a stranger's hair that she just looked at, it was such an odd and strange experience.   I didn't want to be rude to her because she seemed like she must have been in her late teens...it's aa though she didn't think I had a mirror and i didnt know what my hair looked like, she was so condescending. Anyway,  I booked with Natalie for a glaze treatment because I only wanted to pay a smaller rate; and I was very adamant about ONLY wanting a glaze. There was never any mention of an all over color also being applied. All this girl did was tell me that my hair was going to be significantly darker and if I would be okay with that. Never once mentioning she's doing more than a glaze, in the same sentence of her making sure I was okay with a darker result, I said yes because of the glaze and she just nodded her head. So at the end I definitely liked my hair however I was expecting to pay  $45  but the total ended up being $95. Which was a huge surprise because I couldn't have said that I ONLY wanted a glaze more times than I already had. The girl was literally smirking at me when she mentioned she also did an all over color. Honesty, I felt racially profiled and extremely disrespected. Instead of having the decency of letting me know that doing a glaze wouldn't achieve my desired results and by doing an all over color for an extra $50 would be extremely beneficial. Like every other hair salon I've ever been to, if the stylist thinks an additional treatment is necessary they COMMUNICATE it ! Because at the end of the day it's my hair and I live with it paying a little more wouldn't have bothered me if it was properly explained to me. Additionally this girl did not respect me enough to tell me prior to starting because she assumed i wouldn't invest $95 in my hair?? I cannot imagine what made her feel OK about her decision to not inform me she was also doing an all over color. Overall a very indecent person and salon. After i paid and also tipped this girl, i left feeling really bad. And i thought maybe instead of writing a review i can just speak to the manager/owner. I spoke to Philip the owner and what a mistake because it was such a scary experience. He was ready to fight from the get. I was calm and did not want to be rude because ultimately I liked the final result but this man wouldn't let me get a word in and was getting louder and more aggressive as i tried to speak to him. He was mainly talking over me and repeatedly said that my hair was a night and day difference and isn't that the point, that my hair looks better. He aggressively asked me what was it that i was looking to achieve by calling and I simply wanted the respect to be told about what treatment was being done to my hair before it gets done, proper human decency and respect. I didnt realize how difficult of a task that is for some. Moreover I wanted to know why it couldn't have been told before hand that just doing a glaze treatment would not give the desired results. In the midst of his aggressive barking he told me to come back to his salon for a full refund when I said I didn't want a full refund he tauntingly repeated that he's gonna give me a full refund. So when I finally agreed and said I will come back this man told me I can have a full refund and he'll also take out the glaze. What a classy person. If you can't decide between coming here or another place, just go somewhere else. Save yourself the disrespect, insults and bad energy and go to a place that respects their clients and their wishes.

Philip always gives me the perfect haircut and color. I don't think I've ever been disappointed. Jamie does my husband's hair and he's one happy camper too!  thank you Philip and Jamie!

The service at this salon was exceptional and Philip and my stylist Jaimie were awesome.  Very kind and attentive to my needs and I am so happy with my color and cut.  I have gotten so many compliments!

As I am new to Wilton, I should have asked for recommendations for a quality place to get color and cut.  Instead I foolishly ended up at Philip salon.  It's taken me a while to get over the terrible appointment, but now I need to let all of Wilton know. The owner was rude and inept. Horrible color, then choppy haircut to follow. I will never go back. Stay away!
