Patty's Sparkle Salon LLC in Laurel, MT

I have only been in once but Jessica was very nice and friendly.  My husband had purchased a gift certificate for massage.  I didn't get around to using it until the following year (my bday is in the fall).  The massage therapist had left the state in December.  After a highly cranky phone call (on my part) the owner said she would honor the gc even though they no longer have massage offered.  I go in this weekend so I can give a better review.  My first time around was more of an extreme trim.
Will say that I was expecting a fancier interior.  with a name like Elite you'd expect chandeliers and bright lights.  I'm a fan of bling. ;)

Really enjoyed my experience here initially and thought I'd found my spa!  Unfortunately, the person at the front when I arrived gave me a price of $35 for a paraffin manicure.  Although I though that was a bit high, if it was worth it, I don't mind paying it.  The nail tech was just out of school,which again I don't mind if they provide a nice service.  I informed her that my cuticles were my biggest concern as I have very thin nails and they remain short.  The service provided was mediocre and I left immediately to pick up a nipper at Walmart.  The thing that has bugged me about it for awhile though is that the nail tech asked me if the front desk had informed me of her prices and I said yes.  She then tried to charge me $60!!  I've traveled all over the world.  Never ever have I paid $60 for a manicure!  I told her the front desk had quoted me $35 and she stammered around before agreeing.  Intrested to know if anyone else had the same experience.

Elite had a great waxer/esthetician - actually THE best facial waxer I've ever been to, but they fired her. Initially when I went there to be waxed, I was greeted very professionally and cheerfully by the salon staff while I waited for Ms. Sarphie, but the salon staff became very weird and cold after a while, like they just hated me and the esthetician. One of the stylists said some really horrendous things about Ms. Sarphie one time when I was early. Later I got a pedicure from Ms. Sarphie and it was the creepiest experience of my life. I felt like I was an enemy in foreign territory, Afterward the salon staff called and told the owner that I was too loud. Seriously? I've had hundreds of pedicures and acted the same at them all, and I was always welcomed back. It was EXTREMELY clear that these salon girls HATED Ms. Sarphie, although she was always very cheerful and cordial with them. I had been looking for a full service salon, and thought I'd found it, as Ms. Sarphie had recommended their hair cutting, coloring and gel nails, but the vibe was so snotty and weird and uncomfortable that I never made an appointment beyond waxing. I dreaded the place. Ms. Sarphie, however was warm, friendly, professional and incredibly good at her job. She only said good things about Elite's staff and owner and recommended their services highly. Actually Ms. Sarphie completely rehabilitated my eyebrows after some bad waxing. I recommend HER highly. She now works at Hair on Main in Laurel, where the staff has been very welcoming and is now my full service salon. Walk down the street - there are nice people there who want your business.
