While Ms Everett may be a top producing realtor, I have not had a pleasant experience with her. I happened to be on the opposite side of the table unfortunately. It was not a pleasant experience. She was the realtor for the potential buyers of my home. Once a sales contract was signed, it became a daily drama. In the end, I was forced to draw the line and cancel the contract due to the buyers' refusal to pay the $90 balance of a repair that I was only obligated to pay $300 for. She contacted me directly (which is a no-no apparently) and demanded that I reimburse her clients for the inspection and appraisal fees, saying that since this couple had "fought for YOUR country", I should pay their expenses. I admit I went ballistic hearing that, as my husband is a veteran of 8 years' service in the USAF, and disabled. My realtor (who is extremely professional and not at all uncommunicative as Ms. Everett kept advising me) did her best to save the sale and work with her. In the end, she and I considered it best that the contract be rescinded. I found her criticism of my personal patriotism to be not only unprofessional, but condescending as well.
