Nyla's Hair Therapy in Norwalk, CT

I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut, having recently moved to Norwalk. I looked at many places on Yelp and was attracted to the decor of Nyla's. I reached out on Yelp and was able to make an appointment for the same night! I was sitting in my car waiting for my appointment time (because of COVID) and Nyla stepped out the back for a moment, noticed I was in my car, and came to ask if I was Erica, then invited me to come inside to wait. I filled out a questionnaire and had my temperature taken which I appreciate because I'm concerned of COVID and the precautions being taken by business.
Everyone was so nice! Her husband spoke with me for around 10 minutes while I waited; her shampoo girl was chatting with me the whole time; and Nyla herself was fantastic, making me feel at home. A customer before me said that I had chosen the best place to come - she has been going to Nyla for 20 years! My hair turned out beautifully... even better than I thought it would. The lighting was fantastic. She even gave me samples of shampoo and conditioner to try.

I had a hair emergency like no other! Naela is truly a hair therapist!!  Not only is she the most delightful, warm, kind, woman, she is a hair surgeon. Five stars isn't enough!!  As a natural redhead whose color has dulled over the years, very few people know how to bring it back to life.  I had someone try, but to no avail!  My hair was eggplant and looked absolutely horrible. It was my first semi-perm color ever. I needed emergency surgery!!!  Nyla's Hair Therapy to the rescue!!  Naela brought my hair back to life and made it look even better than my natural color!  The most incredible thing about this is that we called the shop Sunday expecting to have someone get back to us during the week. Not more than 10 minutes later the shop called us and even though they are normally closed on Tuesday, I had an appointment for noon.  Naela took the time to listen to me and work with my hair. She returned the color back to a vibrant natural red and even threw in a few highlights.  She knew exactly what my hair needed and she fit my coloring and face perfectly! Most amazingly is the fact that she came in on a day off after just returning from vacation. That told me all I need to know about her passion for her work and her clients!  Nyla's Hair Therapy is now my new "hair home"!  The shop has a cool, trendy chic NYC feel and is warmly decorated.  Her coffee is delicious and her husband Ben is a wonderful addition to an already perfect place! Whatever your hair needs Nyla's Hair Therapy will have you leaving feeling like a million dollars.
