North Albany Salon in Albany, OR

I once got a haircut at a shop in Fan Tan Alley in Victoria, BC. I'm 6'6". The stylist was maybe 5'. I had to lie back in the barber's chair because she couldn't reach. It was the worst haircut I've ever had. A close second was the haircut I received on May 2nd from Toni Holmes at The North Albany Salon. My appointment was scheduled for 11:30 AM. I arrived at 11:25 AM. I showed Toni a photo of myself showing how I wanted my hair to look. She thought it was so great that I had an actual photo of myself. My hair was long (for a guy). Shoulder length. Toni started cutting the hair on the back of my head. Chop! Chop! That's it! Way too short! Nowhere near what I wanted and what the photo had shown. I was back out in my car at 11:37 AM. I was in the chair for about 7 minutes. No blending! No thinning! No eyebrows! I definitely could have done a much better job with a Flowbee! But then, the bar wasn't set very high by Toni. I think it would have taken longer to get a buzz cut. Anyway, I hope she enjoyed the $30 + tip. She should be able to buy a new house soon with that rate of $180/hr. This experience has me concluding that Great Clips is a superior salon. Anyway, you know what they say, the only difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is about two weeks. It's been three weeks and it still looks crappy.

I had my hair colored and cut by Haley today, she did an amazing job, I would totally recommend her. Not only does she know what she's doing but she is super sweet and fun to talk to....I will definitely be coming back !!!!

Very disappointed  I asked for a layered bob hair cut, longer in the front, shorter in the back. My appointment was at 1:00 PM and with showing the hairdresser pictures of what I wanted, washing my hair and hair cut I was back home by 1:20 PM. She did cut my hair for maybe 5 minutes. Length is not right and it looks nothing at all like the images I showed her. Definitely not a bob and not longer in the front and not shorter in the back. I definitely will not be back

To start off, the customer service and friendly staff is unbeatable.  I came into North Albany Salon for a men's perm and was met with friendly faces and a tranquil environment.  The process was quick and easy with no reservation required.  By far the best salon experience I have ever had. If you are in the Albany area I highly recommend stopping by for anything you need, as it will be done in the most professional manner.

I just went in to get my haircut, Haley was the one who I worked with. I hands down loved my experience there and I love my haircut! On top of that the prices were very reasonable! She was very nice and consulted with me before cutting my hair which I appreciated. She did a phenomenal job and I look forward to coming back in the future for haircuts!
