NEW GLEN COVE NAIL SPA in Glen Cove, NY

Not going to lie they do a good job with the dip powder BUT this one lady with short hair and glasses I believe her name is LILY is EXTREMELY RUDEEE. I also noticed how they look at you weird and won't say thank you when your tip them less then $10.

I'm not big into getting my nails done since I'm an athlete and usually end up breaking or chipping them in a couple days (if I'm lucky) but the dip powder is a game changer, it's been a week and they're still standing strong. They have a wide variety of color options too. I also got a pedicure from them and it was great, the massage chairs here are awesome. My toe nails haven't chipped yet which is rare.

Disappointed. I have been a loyal customer here for over 6 years but after last weeks experience I will not be going back. I showed the nail tech a picture of a hand painted design and asked her if she could do it. She said yes but the experience was strange after that. She never allowed me to pick my color, instead she assigned me one that she thought was close to the picture? Kinda strange. Then she said she would have to charge me $15 extra on gel because of the design which I was fine with because they're hand painted. However at the end she started putting on these stickers. I didn't like these but I figured she would at least lower the price since these were dollar store sticker quality. However at the end she charged me $45+ a tip which is insane since it was just a regular gel with cheap stickers. I was disappointed since this wasn't even close to the picture and she was still charging me as if she had hand painted them. The next day these nails started coming up and the designs started to peel... I was so angry since these were my birthday nails. I called Anne ( the owner) and told her i was upset and she assured me that I could come in and she would fix them for free. However when I went to go back Anne changed the story. She began with filing them down to get the stickers off and then she asked me if she could just apply top coat ? Excuse me after filing my nails they were bumps and see through. Why would I want to walk around like that? So I asked Anne to change the color and she said she would but for $10. I don't understand why she charged me when clearly it was a mistake on their end. And that's how my gel went from $30 to $67 and it wasn't what I wanted in the first place. I will not be returning

I have been going to this nail salon for a few months now, and never had a bad experience. Ann, the owner, always gives a warm and brightening welcome. Every time you call to make an appointment, she always answers so happily. Maggie is the BEST to do nails. Never rushes, always makes sure you're happy with your nails, and always so sweet. Highly recommend this place.

5/4/21 This is my first time going to New GC Nails. They followed all the Covid protocols and place was very clean. The owner, Anne, greeted me and was very pleasant and checked on me. Tina did both my nails and feet. She was quiet and pleasant, except to ask which package I wanted. She did the bare basics and no little rub for my back while my nails dried like the place I used to go. I just got a regular, no thrills mani/pedi and was shocked that it cost $35. I expected some increase because of Covid protocols and being closed and all, but that is ridiculous. I don't like that there is no price list at the salon or online except the packages on a laminated sheet at the pedicure chair. I should of asked on the phone before I came I guess. I'm used to paying $23 for both. I thought maybe up to $30, but not $35. I won't be going back.
