Nail Boutique in Olympia, WA

So, I came in here about 2 weeks ago and let me just start off and say that i scheduled an appointment for 4 and still had to wait 45 minutes for them to start on my nails. I sit down and got some short acrylics and the lady accidentally put one of the nails a little crooked. I told her it was fine and that I didn't mind. She ripped the nail off (ouch) and replaced it. She made me pay an EXTRA 10 dollars for that ONE NAIL that I explained was fine and that she didn't need to fix it. My nails all broke off through out these past 2 weeks .. Never coming back.

Worst place I need to say.. Got my nails done last week and within 2 days gel nail polish started peeling off.. Never going back

Come on, Yelp! You guys should allow us to give ZERO stars by now. Do you want to be told the wait is 10 minutes only to have it be 30? Do you want to sit down for 2 hours and have nothing to show for it? Do you like feeling like your nagging because you're asking your nail artist to cut the cuticles they missed, polish your whole nail and not just the middle, or to make sure the nail polish isn't on your skin? THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. It's Easter Sunday! Everyone is closed, except this place. I should have stayed home but I'm flying out of the country tomorrow and my procrastination has put me in a predicament. There were 3 people working and 4 people being helped. I asked how long the wait was and they said 10 min. After 15 min they put me in a chair where I sat in water for an additional 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES!!! I asked for gel on my hands and regular polish on my toes. The lady tried to take off regular nail polish from my fingernails with a file because she thought they were gel. I told her TWICE before she started that it was regular nail polish. I now have scruffy marks. Thanks. Pay attention. It gets worse. One lady started on my feet. She did a HORRIBLE job on my cuticles but I was already antsy sitting down for so long that at this point, I did not care. She did a sugar scrub for about 30 seconds on each leg because additional customers were coming in. Another lady started on my hands. She couldn't cut cuticles either. When she finished my left hand, I pointed out what she missed. Her response was, "Don't worry, I fix for you later." Why would you fix it later when it should only take you one time to do it?! When anther person walked in, she sat her tools down and told me I had to wait to have my nails done. At this point, it's been over an hour. When I looked down at my toes, the nail polish was on my skin, it was clumpy. She painted 4 coats on my left foot and only 3 on my right foot. Before I could stop her, she was already using a top coat. They moved me to the nail chair. The same lady that did my feet started to do my nails. She cut me. Pressed hard on my nail as if I didn't know what happened and then went to the next nail. I told her my cuticles were really messed up from the way she was flicking the clippers. She said it would go away when she buffed it. She buffed it and sure enough, it was still there. Smh. Anyone who knows anything about gel polish KNOWS that when it is applied in uneven coats, it will show on your nails. She painted the middle of my nails in a clear base coat. After setting them under the UV light, you could see the top and sides were completely bare. I asked her to fix it. She applied a second coat only to the sides. After another session under the light, you could still see where she missed the top again. She then went on to do a third coat. Come onnnn, this isn't even a color it's jut a BASE coat. She talked to the lady that was going to originally paint them and they switched positions. She looked at them, filed it down, and put another coat on. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I then said out loud, and in front of 6 or 7 other customers, "I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 2 HOURS. CAN I GET SOMEONE TO PAINT MY NAILS WITHOUT MISSING THE SIDES AND THE TOP?" She tried ANOTHER COAT. F it lady, take it off. She filed it down and told me I was done. That irritates me. It was blotchy and still had thick layers on it. I went to pay for my pedicure and she tried to charge me $25 when the sign clearly says $22 with a 15% discount, which would have made the total $18.70. I paid $22 and left pissed. Not only did I have to find another salon to take it off, fix it and do a gel polish CORRECTLY, I ended up paying for a whole new manicure because even the other salon said it was a crappy job! Like I said, if this is the service you are looking for then by all means, come here. But for me, sitting in a chair for more than 2 hours and having NOTHING to show but a pedicure that looked like 2 different shades of pink because they had different layers on it was a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

I go to this salon twice a month and I have to say the girls are awesome! The owner always remembers the smallest details of our conversations and she really makes me feel welcomed when I walk in. If there are no other customers they do my hands and toes at the same time. I LOVE that! I do have to say that their chairs and equipment are a little dated but do the job just fine. I think their awesome prices reflect that as well. Their tools are all clean and sterile as they should be. All in all I love this place and I won't go anywhere else.
