I have been coming to Mary King Nails for a little over a year. It is the nail salon that I consistently go to bc it's always nice and quiet. Unfortunately there was an incident yesterday that has caused me to write this review and. I will not be back! After getting my pedicure and the tech putting on the pedi slippers, I got up to move to a manicure chair but fell as soon as I stood up because I slipped in some water right beside my pedi chair that the tech forgot to clean up. I hit my foot against the next chair and had to get my toes polished over since it smeared again the side of the chair while I was briefly stuck on the floorin this position. I asked Lena to take something off of my ticket for the incident since I decided not to file a police report or sue since this is a place of business and my safety is suppose to be ensured while I'm there. She refused because it "wasn't on purpose". I never got loud or disrespectful, because I do get that BUT as a loyal returning customer who tips every time I go this was disappointing to me. I honestly had been in search for a new salon anyway because the shellac does not last more than a week and half before it begins to peel. Overall a good salon but please make sure not to have any incidents while there bc they only care about getting their money!
If u want think nails and a sub par paint job for top dollar this is your place! I will never return.
I've been going to Mary King on and off for the last 7 years or so, and I have had both good and bad experiences. I moved away for a few years and only went very occasionally when I was in town. However, since being back in Memphis the last few months, I have had only great experiences! I have loved my nails every time.
Horrible results. The young lady was done with the pedicure in 8 minutes. When I asked had she got the cuticles and dead skin off she just looked at me. She didn't bother to shape the nails and the polish was heavy and extremely uneven. I still paid and tipped because that's just who I am but I won't be back. Im writing this review from another nail salon which I went to right after to have my toes polished correctly.
