My Beauty Salon in Pittsburg, CA

My new favorite place. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. So far I've seen Nia for the best silk press, the assistant Niah did an amazing hair wash and prep. Today I saw Ximena for nails and needless to say, I've found my new nail artist. She's super talented and detail oriented. I love the vibe of the hardworking women in this salon. I'll find something else to come back for (aside from my nails) because I also saw Nia does braids. Thanks ladies!

It is very rare we get to go to a shop to get our hair done. Mostly because I personally keep my hair braided, and my son has been kind of letting his hair do its own thing. About a year ago we visited the shop for him to get his hair shampooed and conditioned. That experience was great, but there was no styling done so I really didn't have much to offer in regards to a review. My 15-year-old son decided that he wanted to go to the shop to get two strand twists. His haircut kind of broken off in certain areas so we weren't really sure if that style was really going to work for him. Nia was amazing in every aspect. From the time that I called to schedule the appointment to the greeting, when we got there to her, explaining and making suggestions to my son for a different (which he went with, by the way). I feel like I need to make it known that for someone who has some level of social anxiety, I cannot express how much I appreciated the fact that this place was not overcrowded, the ambience was really nice. The staff was friendly. It wasn't loud and overwhelming. It makes it a very easy decision to make this a regular shop we will visit. Being in this area I am not familiar with very many shops for our hair. I'm really glad I found this place.

Thank you Tiffany for always providing an amazing experience! I love my scalp massages when you shampoo my hair. I appreciate your care, light touch and styling when I'm in your chair! Everyone at Hair Sophistication is a professional and are amazing stylists. As I sit in Tiffany's chair, I also witness the artistry of the other staff stylists as they're doing extensions, coloring, waves, braids....so many styles and services occurring at HS (Hair Sophistication)! The shop is beautiful. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and the atmosphere just feels good. Thank you for the impromptu electric slide dance that occurred and I got to participate in during my last visit. That was fun! Thank you Pershaonda & Team for brightening my day, Love it!

I have been going to this spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated salon for a while now and will continue because it exemplifies consistent professionalism, excellent hair care and styling! The location is in a quiet and scenic part of town - the waterfront is just two minutes away. Owner Pershonda and her stylists are welcoming and maintain superb time management of appointments, which are easy to make online. Potential clients can walk in and briefly speak to Pershonda or one of her stylists about their hair care needs. The waiting area and set of hairdryers are in a separate room, which adds to the feeling of light and airy space. I never feel the salon is overcrowded, although everyone is busy with clients. I can truly relax here in this lovely place, knowing I am in very capable, friendly and professional hands!

Omg! This salon is amazing. From start to finish service is what I look for in a salon. I called this salon looking for a same day appointment. The owner answered the phone and was very polite. She answered all the questions I asked without rushing me off the phone and was able to ask the stylist is the salon if they had any openings and Ms. Carol was very kind enough to take me. When I arrived everyone greeted me and made me feel welcomed and not feel like they are too busy to greet a client. Ms. Carol greeted me and told me to sit in her chair and once she was finishing her other client she got to work on this head. Btw she didn't make me wait long my appointment was at 4:30 and she probably got started on me at 4:35. My hair is thick and wasn't detangled at all. She was very kind and attentive to me and would ask occasionally if I was okay and if the pressure is okay when washing my hair. I can appreciate that. I received a wash/dry and silk press. And I'm absolutely in love with it. It was just what I was looking for. Once I got out the chair and looked in the mirror I got the confidence boost I needed. You know how it is ladies when your hair isn't done you don't always feel your best. HS I appreciate you ladies and thank you for your service!
