If I could give a ZERO rating for "Shak", i.e. Shakala, I would! Perhaps it was her day of PMS as I'd frequented her before and was pleased but something I must have said or done set her off to destroy my hair with a 1" to 2" chop-chop! Soon as I left the shop, I cried and that was 2 months ago; still crying!! Additionally, overcharged! Could it have been because I told her I am a Jehovah's Witness? I'll forever be puzzled. If I wasn't a JW, I'd file a complaint with the Board of Cosmetology. BE FOREWARNED!

Called them as a last minute try for a same day wash, condition and dry in preparation for my granddaughters graduation braid appointment the next day. Juam (I think that's how you spell it) did a great job and I will use her again.

Book with Shakela! I came into town from Salt Lake City for a traditional sew in and I'm beyond impressed! She let me know everything going on with my hair and how to help it become more healthy and grow. Her work is beautiful and she truly cares! I'll be flying in every 6 weeks just to be her regular. Thanks so much!!! I'm so grateful!!

Moods and Attitudes is amazing. I have been knowing Shekela , a stylist here for over 10 years. She pays attention to my hair . She notices when I have been applying too much heat to it , she notices when I need a trim , or even if I need a bit more of a condition because she cares about the overall health of my hair and scalp . I'm always satisfied with my hairstyle , and love the comfort and warmth that all of the stylists here give.

SCAMMERS!!!! No such thing as a price list! When I tried to make a follow up appointment with Shakela via text she wanted a deposit (which was new but nonetheless fine by me) and the price for a lesser service that I wanted was in fact $50 more than what I paid for more services less then 2 months ago. I simply inquired about it politely as any person who is doing business should be able to handle because the deposit nor the up-charge was supported by her new price list. To which she replied, that due to my "resistance" against pricing & procedures she would have to cancel the appointment. This has got to stop especially with black businesses. If you can't handle a question about your pricing & procedures then you truly don't need to be in business. Everybody shouldn't be in these shops unrelaxed scared to ask a simple, respectful question for fear of being ostracized. It's ridiculous & why so many people are doing there own hair now. If you go there don't ask no questions, do as your told, & pay what they ask for because price list are null & void. Like she said, "I charge what I see fit & if you don't like it, go elsewhere."
