Michelle Nails in Williamston, MI

I have always had the best experience at Michelle nails! I come here monthly, they always get my appointment right and always fit me in. Service is amazing, and everyone is so nice. There is always laughter and fun vibes! I go to the same girl every time, and she kills it! She can do any design. Love love love this place. Cannot say enough good things about it and it's very reasonably priced!

I had THE worst experience today. I had acrylics put on my nails at another salon. I went to Michele's because I was in the area. I asked to have them soaked off and for a mani pedi. I asked for no drill as I was trying to protect my natural nail. this clearly upset them. I've soaked off acrylics at home and I've had it done at a salon. The technician put me in the pedi chair with a bowl of acetone. she told me to soak my nails. she threw two cotton balls in the acetone and then directed me to use the cotton balls to wipe away the acrylic. I couldn't even enjoy my pedicure, I was WORKING while at a nail salon. the technician, once at the mani station, then started pleading with me to let her use a drill. I said I don't mind an emery board. she said an emery board is the same thing as a drill. REALLY?! I finally gave in and let her use the drill to get remaining acrylic off, after having my hands in pure acetone for over 40 minutes. she then made a comment about how dry my hands were. duh! they've been in acetone for almost an hour by this time. then she takes the most minuscule amount of lotion that does not barely get the back of my hand. she then tries to start painting my nails when I bring to her attention all the acrylic that are all over my fingers. she sends me to the sink to wash my hands. I'm at the sink washing, using the nail brush and a dry towel trying to get all the acrylic off my hands. I'm up there for at least 5 minutes. finally she comes and gets me and brings me back to her desk. she takes acetone and wipes my hands with it removing about 90% of the acrylic. then she tries to start painting again and I had to ask for lotion because now my hands were extremely dry again. she again used the least amount of lotion as possible. She did not even use enough to bring lotion down to my fingers that have been in acetone for an hour. she paints my fingers and puts me at dryer light. she told me 10 minutes. so I did exactly 10 minutes. she did not remove the flops and toe spacers from my pedi so I had to remove those and put my boots on. I then walked to the checkout area, pulled my card out, and she came to cash me out. she noticed I had smudged two nails. she did not offer to touch them up and then as I was signing the credit card receipt she looked in my wallet and saw I had cash. she told me to scribble out the tip on the card and to give her cash because it would be better for me. excuse me?! Better for who?! I've never felt so violated. how does she know that money was not earmarked for something? It was just RUDE especially when I don't think she deserved a tip for this horrible experience that I paid for. Yes she charged me to essentially remove my own acrylics too.

I really wanted to give this place a try, due to a co-worker saying she loves getting her nails done here. But they barely touch my feet during the pedicures, less than twenty minutes, and then they didn't have anyone ready to do my mani and I had to wait about 12 minutes for someone to do my mani even though I had an apt to do both. Was rushed on both, will wait to see if gel comes off with in first week. not worth the money for either.

I really want to like this place- it's local & the employees are nice. However, I've been several times and each time there is a very long wait even though I have an appointment. I spend more time waiting for someone to actually do my nails than my nails being done. I get dipped nails, & they let me sit with my fingers in acetone for 30+ mins each time, so long that my fingers actually hurt and I can't leave them in the solution any longer. The last time I went I had 4 different nail techs do my nails- they kept switching out who was working on my nails. This led to a terrible/inconsistent nail shape and a lot of waiting during the nail process. They have never done an actual manicure- no attention to the cuticles, and no lotion after.

I always make an appointment and I always have to wait another like 15-30 minutes like what's the point of making an appointment I also had come in today for an appointment but they took these two girls who came in after me first I am not very happy what the hell
