Great place for a haircut at a very good price. Fast and skilled. I called on Friday morning and was able to come in the afternoon with no wait. I got the dead ends cut from my long hair and got some side-swept bangs. No wash or shampoo, but I didn't need it. She even blew out my new bangs at the end to give it some volume and curled my hair slightly with a flat iron. She only charged $15, and when I gave her $20 and told her to keep the change, she said, "too much!" But I insisted she take it. Plenty of parking in a small private lot. The only bad thing is that there is a lot of traffic on Crenshaw, so I had to wait a bit until I could get out of the parking lot.

She is great she saved my worst haircut and made it so short and feel refresh. she did not charge a lot because she worked by herself.

Hi! Korean-American here. I called inquiring about a perm for my grandmother in English and the lady who answered (who was clearly fluent in English) told me not to come. When I asked about scheduling an appointment for later she kept dodging the question and saying "yeah uh whatever around 12" clearly not confirming an actual appointment. My grandma insisted however that she knew the lady and that we should go. So I drove her over there. When I arrived I was shocked: the salon was fully operating, it wasn't closed, but it wasn't overflowing with customers either. There was no reason this lady would just hang up on me or refuse an appointment. As soon as the lady saw me she was hostile. See, I'm half Korean, and look white, especially with my bleached hair. Yet after I said hi in Korean her demeanor instantly changed. She was very sweet and accommodating. Clearly this was a case of racism. She wouldn't cut my grandmother's hair when I seemed like an English speaking white girl, but as soon as she knew I was Korean she would serve me. Don't waste your money on people who fill the world with hate.

I started going to Mishell Kim when my previous hair salon closed I called for an appointment for a permanent. She cut my hair and gave me a permanent. Her cut was so much better than the lady that I was going to for years and her permanent was so soft and no fuzzy ends. Have had several permanents and cuts from her and they are all very good. She is so talented with her cuts and fast.

I called to inquire about the price of a blow out for my mother and the person answering said they only do haircuts and hung up on me. I was surprised and then went on to read more bad reviews. I love small family businesses but can't understand how this business and owner can be so rude and dismissive to people. It's shocking. Is something else going on here ... so strange
