MGO Hair Studio in Muskegon, MI

called 3 straight days, some after hrs,to answering machine, to make appointment for a simple cut. This is day 4 and no call-back yet. Are they shut down again? I got latest business card and number does go thru machine so phone is working. Much longer and I will have to learn how to do braids.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I came in with a picture of exactly what I wanted and the stylist said okay and went to the back to mix the color. Let it be noted that the stylist was also the manager. Fast forward to the part where my hair was processing and she is talking about how all she has to do is put the color name into her computer and it spits out a formula for her. She used this formula on my hair and it was nowhere near what I wanted. I wanted a rose gold/pink color and it came out blonde/redhead. I mean red head red, not crayon red. When I brought up that there were no pink tones or rose tones at all, she told me that "this is a TRUE rose gold." Which made me think that she didn't pay any attention to the picture that I showed her and she just typed "rose gold" in her computer for a formula. I didn't ask for a true rose gold, I asked for the rose gold in the picture that I showed her. She went to revise the formula a little and we tried again. This time was not much different at all... Still no pink or rosey tones. At this point, I was already very let down and needed to hurry to work, so I figured that maybe I would see the pink tones in different lighting since the insisted that they were there. There were still no pink/rose in my hair. It looked horrible and nothing like I had asked for. I cried on my way home and at work. Later that night I ended up spending even more money at Sally's beauty supply on hair dye to try and remedy my hair on my own. This all happened on the weekend. On Tuesday, I went back to get half of my money back, as I had paid $165 on this hair that was nowhere near what I wanted and by someone who has supposedly been doing hair for tens of years. I didn't have any intention of letting her touch my hair again as she was just not getting what I wanted. I came in calm and respectful and it turned into us practically yelling at each other almost. I ended up only getting $65 back and the rest of my money just went down the drain, I guess.... The stylist was even reluctant to do that and was still arguing with me until I finally just said that I was leaving. This is the worst experience that I have ever had at a salon before. The stylist was very unprofessional and unwilling to come anywhere near close to admitting that she had any fault what-so-ever. Also, as a side note, while I was there getting my hair done, she was doing nothing but complaining about a previous employee that had left. This stylist seemed to be very well liked because many phone calls during this time was for this person. And every time it ran, the manager or the other stylist there would annoyed/mockingly say, "it's probaby for the princes!" I felt like this too was unprofessional I would never recommend this place to ANYONE.
