Maxwell Salon at StylistAlicia Studios in Silverdale, WA

As a surprise, my husband wanted to let me get my hair done in the fun colors that i couldn't get done on my own. He called around and, as the universe dictated, Maxwell Salon was the first to pick up the phone. He made a consult appointment with Preston. She took time to listen to what I wanted and to talk about how we could get that to happen and what we couldn't make happen. She looked at pictures, and even took time to look at my social media after the appointment to get to know me. We bonded pretty instantly (for a variety of reasons...yes I hear you universe) and when my appointment came 2 weeks later, I could not have felt more a part of the gang. I was there for 5 hours, but it was SO worth it. She is AMAZING at what she does. I will continue to be one who "goes here". She's priced perfectly and her skill is beyond anything I could have dreamed. I was supposed to go back the next day for more pics but, unfortunately, I've been in the hospital for a week since the day after I got my hair done. I can't wait to go back for a touch up and to continue to see her for a LONG time to come. Alicia was awesomely inviting and I got to see her fierce protective nature of her employees. In conclusion: GO HERE. Leave your kids and broken staplers at home and treat yourself. My valentines hair is a sigh to behold, and I couldn't be more grateful. Preston, I luh you!!

I will only go to this salon. I absolutely do not like my hair cut. I have huge anxiety at even the thought of getting a hair cut-I compare it to a dentist visit! That is why I chose Alicia and her staff at Maxwell-They always work with me and keep me calm. Preston is my go to hair cut girl-she always cuts exactly want and how I want it to style. I have used the same shampoo for the past fifteen years. Last year Preston introduced me to a new shampoo that she felt would work better for my grey hair, it was starting to yellow in spots. I was apprehensive, because I was very loyal to the shampoo I had been using, but I am so HAPPY I listened-Kevin Murphy-Blonde Angel Shampoo-is amazing-my hair is manageable and absolutely Shines- I went from yellowing grey hair and having to wash it everyday-Now with the Kevin Murphy shampoo-I wash my hair every third day-what a difference-So happy I listened to Preston. I've been frequenting this salon for the past 4 months. I can not say enough good things about Alicia and her business. Everyone is kind and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Both my 10 year old daughter and I have had our hair cut and colored by Alicia. Her ability to take plain Jane hair and turn it into something extraordinary and beautiful is worth every penny! This salon also earns brownie points for having the sweetest little mascot "Junie" who greets all who enter with affection and a tail wag. I'm so grateful to have found a place that not only delivers on what I want, but will give me an honest professional opinion. I'd recommend this salon and stylists to anyone.

Preston gave me a fresh cut and color. She worked with me on my physical limitations of not being able to sit well for long. She made me feel as comfortable as possible and was super kind. I'm excited for my next cut!

I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was complaining about. I have personally had Alicia color my hair a few times at Maxwell Salon. I found her prices to be congruent with other professional salons and stylist prices. Alicia is a professional, therefore, it is reasonable for her to charge professional prices. Personally, I would rather pay those prices for someone who protects the integrity of my hair and provides beautiful results. Usually, when stylists are handing out coupons or discounting their services it is because they don't have the experience or expertise yet. Alicia does. If your looking for cheap, maybe it's not your salon. I'm sure there are other places with cheap products and stylists with less training that might suit you. However, If you are looking for expertise and professionalism, you can find that at Maxwell Salon.
