they charge money upfront before your hair is finished. They did more talking than braiding, i sat there for hours while they took other clients and didn't take anything off for the inconvenience not to mention my curls are falling out and it's only been a week.

I didn't like my experience here either. I just wanted to get a simple trim and the woman who did my hair was not very friendly. She rushed, pulled at my hair but I am used to that because I have curly hair and it can get bushy. No, what really turned me off to this place was the fact that I didn't have cash and the woman acted like I should know better? We are in the year 2019 and even though, this was done quite a couple years ago (after 2011 at least), it wasn't that far from a day and age where technology is improving. No, you should have been more polite and even the way you said it was very rude. There is such a thing as handling a situation with tact and a dying art called "Common Curtesy" lady. I would have been okay with everything had she not been so impolite but I guess no one taught her manners. And, hopefully by now you have the ability to accept debit. Luckily, there was an ATM machine at the convenient store next door but I will not go here again or recommend anyone to. Hopefully, they realize people won't accept being mistreated anymore now that we can share our experience. Go at your own risk when you go and bring cash if you don't want to be lectured like she's your mama! Otherwise, just go some place else, there are plenty of nice salons near GR. I love exploring places, kind of an adventurer I think, but I will also have to remember that I will inevitably come across places where I will say, "Never Again!"

Please listen to the negative reviews. I wanted to wait until I took my braids out to give my full experience. While getting my braids done, the stylist was rude and even made fun of my 4C hair. She had no regard for my natural hair, as she yanked and pulled on it aggressively. She also braided my baby hair into braids and would braid a small amount of my hair into a thick braid. I repeatedly told her to add more of my hair, so there would be more support. She didn't listen and even looked frustrated. My head was sore the first couple of days and I had to put witch hazel the front to reduce blistering (it was that tight). I ended up taking my braids out in less than a month because one of the braids in the front fell out... along with my own hair. I had a lot of hair damage. There is a pattern of people complaining that they do not listen to what your hair needs are. The braids were cute. But if you want to care for your natural hair, please stay away from this place.
