M-Line Nail Spa in Mundelein, IL

This place is great. Currently undergoing remodeling but is still open (this is why I gave it 4/5 stars). The owner is very nice and had a smile on her face the moment I walked in. The man that did my nail, I didn't quite catch his name, did a fantastic job taking off my full set of gels as well the manicure following. Also the prices are not to horrible and this nail salon is right but my house, which of course is very convenient. I would recommend this place to any of my friends.

This is my preferred nail salon. Admittedly, mostly out of its close proximity to my house, but it's no frills, there's rarely a line to be seen, and they're efficient. Now, efficient doesn't mean you'll leave feeling like a goddess. For the price, it's perfect. Give them a try. If you don't like it, go pay more somewhere else.

This was probably the most disappointing pedicure I've ever received. The older gentleman who did mine seemed like he either had no experience or perhaps just didn't care. The entire experience lasted about 5 to 10 minutes and the nail polish was all over the place. It took me an equal amount of time when I got home just to clean it off of my skin and leather flip flops. There was little to no trimming or the nails or cuticles and it costs only a little less than you would pay at the average nail salon.

Even taking into account the cheap prices, I would not come back here. I've had a decent manicure here before, but this time...not so much. I opted for the $30 mani/pedi combo. We started with a pedicure, which was decent, but not much time spent on exfoliating, which is really what I needed after a long, cold winter. But, OK, decent job. Moving on to the manicure. She starts with the filing, buffing and cuticle removal and then asks me to pay before she puts on the polish. This is pretty standard, so I give her the card and the receipt comes back with no space for a tip. So she has to run my card again for a 2nd charge for the tip. At this point, I'm already bleeding because she nicked my cuticles and when I pointed it out, she sprayed something that felt like fire on it. So, I only do a $5 tip because hey, I'm bleeding! So, the cheap tip could explain the shoddy paint job I'm about to receive. I could have painted my nails using my feet and it would have looked as good - she didn't even paint all the way to the nail base on one of the layers so it looked like it had already grown out. Very disappointing.

Not the luxurious type of nail salon (looks wise) but I have to say that Andy did a superb job on my mani/pedi (spa). He was nice and did a great job! I will go back again. It's very reasonable too. $35 total.
