Had an amazing hair cut but I planned to lighten my dark brown hair, I walked out with red hair.  I would be careful if you want to lighten your hair.

I absolutely love getting my hair done with Mei. She had never disappointed me ever, she alway delivered beautiful results. When I first came to Mei for my hair session, I asked her to do what I desired. She said to me: "I can do it for you but it's going to damage your hair, I'd rather you take a few sessions and slowly progress." Well, I'll tell you I didn't like that. But I loved the fact that that she cared about my hair, so I chose to trust her in the process. She had gave me what I wanted in just two sessions. I have been with her since. Not only that she delivered the result that I wanted but kept my hair healthy in the process. I got what I wanted without damaging my hair, amazing! Mei is the person to go to, every time it gets better. Now I'm able to maintain my hair healthily with whatever colors I desire. I believe good things happens to those who waits.

Yama did an excellent job cutting my wavy hair! He took his time and was VERY precise, I really loved his attention to detail and listening to my request that I wanted more layers to enhance my waves. He was very kind, professional and diligent. My beautiful Latina wavy hair has been restored, it no longer gets tangled and looks wavier than ever.

Note: One thing I ask is that a clean brush is used vs one that has been used on previous clients. I saw hair in the brush before my hair was brushed and I didn't like that.

Well... maybe other stylists are good professionals.. but not the stylist who did my hair.. I believe his name is Yama. Definitely can't recommend him. 0 service. He was rude, not attentive, when I asked him to fix my bang He just rushed to the next appointment. Bang was obviously uneven. But he just said that this part has more hair.
I was expected better service from Japanese 5 star hair salon.

If you put filter in Yelp for 1-2* reviews some of them mentioned male stylist. I'm guessing all of them about him.

Try somebody else.

Omg, LOOK. AT. MY. HAIR.

I just got a cut and digital perm from Ikumi and I am loving it! Ikumi was so, so great. She was nice and attentive, and so amazing at what she does! I'm really hair-dumb, so I just went in and asked for a haircut and a digital perm, but I didn't have any pictures of what I wanted, so she really had nothing to work with. But she asked me a few questions, showed me a photo of something that would look great for me, and in the end, it all came out so much better than anything I could've imagined. I love her!

On top of all of that, the price was really, really reasonable, and I almost felt like I was stealing!

I 100% recommend going to M-irror, not just for the digital perms, but all hair styling because the service and quality are truly exceptional.
