LV Nails in Livonia, MI

Went in today for a dip manicure as a walk in. Salon was pretty much empty so they were able to accommodate me quickly. Salon is nicely decorated inside but unfortunately the quality of work on my nails was not a reflection of the ambiance. I picked a simple black color for the dip manicure. There was cross contamination in the dip powders she used (dipped right from the original packaging), she cut my cuticle and made it bleed and continued to use her tools (no bleed stopper or trying to clean it up - hopefully the tools are cleaned properly after and the nail files are disposed of), and she left black powder/polish all over my hands and fingers. She tried to check me out at the front and my hands looked like I just played in dirt! I asked her if she could clean me up because my fingers and hands looked super messy... she took me back and cleaned it up, but it still wasn't close to clean looking. She said "next time I'll do the manicure after the color" - so that tells me she's probably not licensed or very inexperienced. Or maybe just lazy. Not sure but I won't be back. The final charge was $53 (not including tip, which I still gave her one) for a terrible manicure where I left looking dirty. That is way overpriced consider the quality I left with.

5 stars because the price was right and the staff were all super nice and paid attention to detail. The guy was great and helped us find the exact colors we wanted. They also had a wide selection of colors and types of polish, including the specialty polish that I like. Everyone went above and beyond! Wish I could always come here for my Pedi's but I live in California.

I wish I could give zero stars. I came in to get an mani and pedi. Only got the pedi because i waited an hour to get that with no indication that it would be that long, apparently only 3 people work here. I had an older lady, she spent a total of 10 seconds rubbing my feet (literally) during a pedicure and barely put lotion on my feet. Polish job sucked. Just everything about this experience is a no from me. There does seem to be a younger guy in there with no accent that has some regulars so maybe the key is going to him but honestly with the experience I had I won't be returning to find out.

I tried with this place but each time the shellac did not last 24 hours.And the old lady had an attitude the whole time.A customer should not have to deal with that, lousy service ‼

Have used there service before had pedicure and manicure done next day and the Sun I noticed I could still see the last color in the creases of my toenails that they did dead skin on my toes polish chipping 2 Days Later manicure horrible rush job will not be using them again don't waste your money and I gave them a tip go elsewhere please you will not be satisfied
