POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES. As I attempted to enter @1:20 pm for my appointment at 1:30pm. I was told that by the young female in the red Santa sweater that she cannot open the door. I explained that I had an appointment, she shrugged her shoulders without concern. As I walked to my the car, the female walked to a different car, placed something inside the car and walked back into the salon. Since I was denied entrance, I called the salon and ask for them to cancel my appointment and not charge me. The female on the phone said that was me, I had to go to the back for supplies". WTF! So you leave a customer at your door???? Please understand that you will NEVER have my business now or in the future.

I got exactly what I wanted Sharr did my set and was great as always also her first client had to cancel so I was able to get my nails done earlier which is rare and I loved it.

Very poor customer service ! Terrible front desk ! I proceeded to book an appointment under" book appointment " on website I called and specified which nail tech I wanted to see several times and was told that she is only available Friday , Saturday , and Sunday so I proceeded to book for Friday at 12 PM. I arrive to the salon at 11:56 And was told that I have a standby appointment meaning that I will see the next available nail tech, which I called several times to confirm my appointment with a specific tech ! The lady at the front continues to argue that I should have booked with the tech I wanted and I proceeded to tell her upon booking that option isn't available that's why I called ... She tries in her phone as well & sees that I am correct ! There is no way in the site to specify which tech you want to see ! So I am told she won't be available until 3 hours later . I would give NO STARS IF THAT WAS AN OPTION !

I went to this location for a fill in. Upon arrival there is only street parking. I don't prefer salons that have no private or off street parking. Second the place is cluttered. The basic concept is good but they need to use the space better. Third they only have one restroom a client was in the bathroom forever. Fourth no price's posted and before I start my service I always get an understanding of price. I got the run around about price. The technician Sherri did not greet me in a welcoming manner. Her work station was nasty. The table had file dust all over it and all her containers had file dust all over them. For me a total turn off. She didn't use hand sanitizer or anything prior to touching my hands. Not a bad place just not what I was looking for.

if you like customer service save your energy and time, not gonna happen here. 1. my nail tech was late, I mean good and late. I mean late. 2. 5 days later my no chip nails just started peeling off. and my toes were not great after she did them either. I liked her and believe in second chances. 3. appointment today to get this fixed and this is what solidified the 1 star....I am outside the shop, I'm early, I check my email and at 1030ish I had received an email cancelling my service because a natural nail tech was unavailable??? what? I had a pedicure schedule too so what Now? I call and call and call and my call can't be completed because the number was busy (this is a business right). I didn't go in because I knew I was too mad and wasn't gonna go there with them as I anticipated a very poor excuse for this half ass cancellation. And I was not gonna let them take me outside of myself. I finally get an answer as I wanted them to know why they just lost a customr and why they didn't call me. And I told her off the bat, why didn't y'all call me? That would have gotten the. So much farther with me. Just call. I got someone who basically checked me to let me know she was on the phone to explain why here was no VM maybe? She says she is now taking care of someone else and click puts me on hold before I could tell her don't bother, I remember when ppl said "please hold" I wait. I wanted her to know my eyre. This lady tells me they didn't have a working number for me, that they had my number listed as 1-777-xxx-xxx . (This is Chicago, maybe they could have tried 773-7xx-xxxx.., IDK chicago address maybe a Chicago number and area code???) the gaslighting and or lies were apparent, what she said to me felt dumb. no thank you, no need to reschedule, not coming back, decision made. But something wasn't right about that answer, that statement that made me feel like it was my fault. I go home and look on my phone and lo and behold I find that from my previous appointment, they sent me 6 text messages from number 833-239-7335 Lux hair & nail boutique on 08/02/23 . I got my receipt from my last visit, too. I made this failed appointment when I paid for the last appointment. It was made in person and at the front desk. I say this to say I never changed anything on my original account and the infamous 10 digit number that morphed into a 9 digit one wasn't modified by me. Sounds fishy lady. Now this is all pure dee BS and they know it. How did you call me and text before then suddenly you can't call or text me? so now I'm really baffled and mad because I wasted my time going over there! I still need my nails done so I have to do that too. Why would I reschedule when as I saw it (and it's true) when a business cancels, they should CALL you and these days a text may work just as well. Then to tell me this bald faced lie, why would I not write a review. I mean y'all can't answer the phone, at either number listed and you don't have the ability to place ppl on hold nor to leave a VM? That's not how businesses should work, I mean don't you all have comcast or Verizon business or something? You lose digits off of phone numbers and the like, is it googles fault? It sounds incompetent. And I didn't even talk about the space when you sit in a bare back room like you are in jail waiting to visit somebody. So cold, so uncomfortable. But now that I am writing the review, may as well bring that up too. And I was still willing to come back and try and make this work out. But the lie, the gaslighting, no I won't do that. You just say you screwed up, don't say it's something so dumb and easily disproved. And just answer the damn phone. I don't support Black businesses simply because they're Black, the business part is necessary as well. Damn ***and the comments the owners leave in response to criticism (they deserve all the criticism) should have been a sign that they were not up to the task of being a business I would patronize. Even when a friend said y'all were ghetto, I still tried and wanted to form my own opinion and then tried again! Shame on me. She was right. I am so glad their business is robust enough for them to lose customers and I hope they do very well at this pace.
