Luna Salon in Stratford, CT

I would give 4 stars because they don't great you at all when you come in .  No one at the front desk no one even looked when I came in. I sat down till a girl came up front to get something never even looked at me so I said excuse me and she kept right on walking to the back of the salon. Thankfully another woman called her to take care of me. But I'm rating my review on how well my hair was done not their customer service.
  So my hairdresser of 30 years decided to retire during the pandemic and I let my hair grow to a ridiculous length out of fear of going to a new one. Fortunately I have a friend and I love her hair so I asked where she went and the name of hairdresser.   The salon is Luna and the stylist is Nakia.
    Great made an appointment came in and Nakia did her thing. She cut layers ( I never had before) & blowdried my hair and it looked great. The test was still to come - me  doing my hair!  Happy to say I can blow dry my hair with my head upside down. No styling no curling just blowing heat and when dry  I flip it  back in place and  I L-O-V-E IT!!! So easy and it looks like it has all this body when in actuality it's plain ole poker straight.
 So yes *****s   because Nakia gave me a  great haircut and that was my purpose for going to Luna.

I wish I knew the name of the girl that worked on me. All I got was a shampoo, blow dry and straightening. She didn't look at me once, didn't care about the temperature of the water while washing my hair, didn't ask me questions before blow drying and quickly straightened it. I told her I'd like some height in the front and she made it completely flat. All I can tell you is they were a black female. I'll never go back.

I went for the first time to get my hair done for prom  14 YEARS AGO!!!! After a nightmare of a hair experience in the past I was nervous but Sherry hooked my awkward teenage self up with butterfly clips or whatever was cool back then.... I've been working with Alicia now for over ten years and she's amazing. Girl knows how to cut and color a head. Call them up, treat them nicely, tip well, leave happy (and prettier)!  :)

My daughter came here to get her hair done for prom. Apparently we didn't book enough time to have it washed. Which was not stated we needed to when we booked the appointment. (Which maybe was my fault) but apparently the girl who did her hair (who failed to mention her name to my shy daughter),was very annoyed by this and when asked if she could spray some dry shampoo she said well it's muggy and ur hair is long so ur curls will fall no matter what at this point. Anyway luckily I work with a girl who used to be a hairdresser and she is gonna come help us out but not cool and just poor experience. Disappointed.
