Legacy Nails in Baton Rouge, LA

This place is a hit or miss when it comes to getting acrylics done. The male owner is the best and is time efficient and doesn't rush. The one female worker that was there who did my acrylics rushed a bit but did a great job on the gel application. The acrylic itself is inconsistent as well as the shape because she didn't know how to do stiletto. So get the guy. The older gentleman who did my pedicure was amazing and detailed. He made sure to be gentle and that the rocks and steamed towels weren't too hot. They have different pedicures that are 30+. I get medium length nails that price at 40 with gel. With both I was there for a little over 2 hours.

NEVER AGAIN! Firstly there was only one nail tech working but no one else was there so I figured it would be fine. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (colored ombré on my natural nails) and she confidently assured me should could do it. After being there for TWO hours I left with a hot mess on my hands because I had a doctors appointment to get to. I decided to come back after to have her fix it because what I left with was totally unacceptable. I thought the finished product looked okay but here I am not even a full two weeks later and the dip power on EVERY SINGL NAIL is chipped. Also one nail completely broke off and I'm furious because as I said these are my natural nails and growing then to this length took some time. I don't even want to there return to have them fixed at this point because clearly the techs are incompetent and uneducated on the simple process of dip powder.

Yelp steered me wrong on this one. Went in on a Thursday afternoon for natural gel nails for my maternity shoot the next day. There were 4 people working and I still had to my pedicure and manicure done at two different stations, people, and time- therefore making the overall errand about 1hr and 30 mins long. The woman asked what kind of pedicure I wanted , I said hot stone, and she fetched the gel color I had chosen. Three things went wrong : she never used the gel color, she decided herself to put a coat of white under the color making it a bright coral rather than natural, and I never got the hot stone massage I requested.
After spending $75, I'm only left with regret and frustration and could not bring myself to leave a tip for such an expensive and subpar experience.

This time I went on a Friday evening instead of a weekday morning, so the workers were obviously tired by the end of the day. I got my usual $35 pedicure but they forgot to do the paraffin wax on my feet. I didn't realize until after I had left, so I was pretty upset about that since I paid for the wax.

I feel like most nail salons do really good the first time to reel you in, but once you go back they slack up because you're a repeat customer. This place is no different. The dip powder is $40 whereas you can get a basic full set of acrylics for $20.

Warmest and most inviting nail shop I've been to in Baton Rouge yet! Colors are limited, but would 10/10 recommend just Bc of the staff. Prices are very reasonable as well. They're also open on Sunday's!
