Lavish Nails in Orange City, IA

I would probably give this place zero stars if I could. I had to wait almost an hour after my appointment time before they even started my pedicure. It was an average pedicure at best. I'll be taking my business to a different place that respects my time.

It is not the best manicure I've ever had, but it got the job done. I am in from out of town and was in a pinch and they were able to service me. She shaped my nails nicely, but didn't clean up the leftover polish after the gel process was complete. Prices cost just as much as any other nail salon. The staff was friendly and the place seemed clean.

Went today. Brought a photo of the 'design' I wanted. We discussed that it looked like a 'sunrise', while she was 'thinking' how she should do it. I told her that I had a couple other options I liked too, if the ombré sunrise one was too hard. She looked at the others & said she could do any of them.  She seemed detailed as she took off my previous color & did the manicure on my nails. However, when it came to the actual design I walked out with - it's no where near the design I picked. Well I guess it is kinda ombré ... just not the fall look I had wanted. When she was done, I opened the pic to show her again, hoping she'd realize that it didn't really match.  She saw it, but said nothing. Since we're small town, I didn't call her out on it. Instead I'll alert you that the previous reviews are true. Don't expect what you ask for. They only take cash. They don't talk - to you or each other. It's just a weird vibe in general & not the cozy, welcoming, relaxed feeling you want when you get your day to do you imo. **this was my 3rd time. And all visits have this weird uncomfortable vibe but I thought it was the creepy young guy that I got stuck with both of those times. I was gonna refuse him if I had gotten him today. But instead I got the lady that's allergic to acetone  Now if she had asked me, I would've said I didn't really like them but she didn't. Honestly because I think she knew they weren't 'right' either. I didn't tip her & I will definitely not be going back. Third times a 'charm', now I'm sure it's not a fluke.

Worst nail salon I've ever been to. They don't listen to your requests and the French tip was horribly done. Do not go here unless you want a plain color without any tips. They do not listen to you and they are rude. They told me that what I wanted wouldn't look pretty and they refused to do it. They wouldn't cut my nails as short as I wanted.

Wort customer service ever. I tried them a few times but I'm fed up with how rude the owner is.  She needs to learn some customer service skills. It's a shame that this is the only nail salon in my town.  The service is so bad that I will drive to another town to do my nails from now on.  I do not recommend this place to anyone.
