Lalo's Hair Studio in Galt, CA

I have been going to Lalo's for several years. I always get a good cut, done to my specifications. The Salon is clean and decorated with beautiful plants. Lalo is very sweet and courteous.

I have been getting my hair cut by Lalo for the past so many years and I love the way he cuts hair. He's so gentle and I always have to try to not fall asleep because hes so gentle and he always cuts the exact amount i tell him. For some reason whenever I get my hair cut by Lalo, my hair grows back super fast! And when I go anywhere else it takes longer to grow back. Overall hes my go to person for my hair and I have never had a bad experience. I always recommend all my friends and family to go with him. His prices are more pricer then most but hes good at what he does so i stick with him.

Went in yesterday to get my hair done, and oh what a mistake that was. I showed the reference photo multiple times, and my hair still didn't turn out the way it should've. After the bleaching was all done, Lalo only blow dried HALF of my hair and didn't even style it after. I ended up paying an insane amount for a job that wasn't done well. My hair felt like gum, and chunks of it were coming out. Went in today to ask for a partial refund, and they refused. They claimed the job was done well, and later on said, that if they knew I was "un cliente especial" they would've refused to have done my hair. As if it's an insane request to want your hair to be done the way you asked for it to be done. Lalo, made me feel like I was crazy for claiming my hair was damaged, and that it was all in my head. Lalo kept rolling their eyes at me and laughing, like everything I was saying were lies. Only after once again asking for a partial refund, because I will have to go to a different salon to get my hair fixed did lalo offer to do free treatments or to do whatever color I wanted for free. As if I'd trust them to lay their hands on my hair again, after all that. -20/10 would definitely NOT recommend coming here.
