I had a mani/pedi before Thanksgiving. The gel started peeling off entire nails in less than a week. I mistakenly went back on December 22nd. I reported the problem and they shrugged it off. I had another manicure and pedicure on December 24, and had the same problem. Half my nails were bare in under two days. I wasn't doing anything to result in this failure. When I went back to the salon, they wouldn't even look at my nails. He didn't even come to the counter to speak to me. The manager said polish sometimes only lasts 1 day. Who would pay for that? He then said they guarantee a gel for two weeks, first I'd heard of that; but they did nothing when I reported the first problem. I do NOT recommend this location. I would not use them again. Two vacations with nails that looked horrible. (My current manicure, from a different salon, looks perfect after a week.)
1st time here and it was a great experience. I had a mani-pedi with a beautiful result. Will definitely be back!!
I am in the area just for the weekend. My husband & arrived last night for a convention. He is the vice chair for the convention & is very busy. Today, I had time, while he's at a meeting, to get a mani/pedi & I'm so glad that this salon is down the street from hotel! From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. I was greeted professionally & made to feel like family. The service was very good! I am very pleased with the final outcome and I will recommend this salon to family & friends off Cape. I always get perfect gel manicures here! Anthony and his family are so sweet and take great care of their clients. Service is usually very quick, especially if you call ahead. Even if you have to wait it's never more than about 5 minutes. I've never been accidentally cut here either which is really nice because sometimes salons aren't paying attention but they're so so gentle with you.
I absolutely LOVE La Orchid! I refuse to go anywhere else. I see Anthony ( him and his wife own the salon ) Anthony is extremely thorough as well as consistent! After each appointment I stare at my nails for about an hour... I can't help it! They always come out so beautiful. I get the nail tips, and go in about a month to 5 weeks for a fill. They last for a long long time and look just as beautiful as the day I got them done! Here is a photo of my nails after a month. I am going in today for my fill.
