A gel manicure involves similar steps but uses a gel-based polish and UV light to cure the polish, resulting in a more durable finish that can last up to two weeks without chipping.

Bad nails color not right a job last Monday afternoon bad service lady hurry my hand nails why she hurry no good job
I was not wanting to do this but I promised my friend I would. I am a large person with huge lymphedema on my legs and I am pain. We get there and when I would talk, no one was listening to me! My friend would have to speak for me! I told her I must not be talking loud enough and she said she doesn't know what the problem is. Mind you, I am paying for this! So we get to the pedicure area and my friend made sure that the controls work on the chair because the last time I went there they put me in a broken chair. I was going to sit in the chair she was going to sit and they told me no sit in that chair and it was broken. So she checked to make sure the controls were working and they were. So I sit down and get comfortable. The Nail Tech comes and he looks at me and he looks at her and he put something in her water and it started bubbling. So my nail tech, young guy, and I guess the other Nail Tech told him in his language what I needed. So I got no bubbles and the guy used a cheese grater and then polish my toes and that was it. So I'm sitting there watching my friend she is getting the cheese grater plus the little block. So now it's time to get nails done. My friend showed the Nail Tech the picture of how I want my nails to look. The nail tech is doing my nails and saying that I should get them real long and I said no I want them short. So the nail tech is like you should dip your nails. I have never had a dip so I went along with what she said. I had to tell her to refile my nails because they were larger than my fingers so she came and she refile them and then she dipped them 3 times did her whatever polish them and said there you go. I said they're too bulky so she started falling again and she said if I go any lower I'm going to be on your natural nail so I asked the girl next to me may I see her hand and she gave me her hand and I said see how thin and pretty her nails look why are mine looking bulky and nasty and the nail tech says because I have big fingers. I said that has nothing to do with my nail. So the girl said when you dip the nails usually look bulky like that she's just what they look nice and I'm like oh my gosh. So me and my friend left out and her nails are beautiful and mine look like shit. Sorry I have to say that. The first time I went to this salon there was a young man there and he did my nails so good but I got the bad treatment at the pedicure area. I think I want someone to come with me and see how I am treated. Every Asian nail salon treats me very badly. I do not go on the regular to get my feet and nails done but I broke my arm and just been going through stuff and I wanted to be pampered and I got treated like crap. I think I'm going to reach out to a lawyer. I know this is long but when I'm paying my money, don't treat me like crap and I'm not the only fat person coming into the salon let me just say a fat person of color but when fat white women come in they are treated better than I am. I am sorry to say that also. So if you live in Oklahoma and you know a nail salon where the nail techs are not Asian please let me know. And this is not a racist thing against Asians even though they are treating me poorly and I feel it's a racist thing, I don't want to give them my money I want my money to stay with a white person or a Latino or a black person. I'm pretty sure that they are salons that are not asian-owned. I am going to have to do my nails myself again but like I said I have a healing broken arm an extreme swelling that I just cannot do for myself right now.
Horrible experience. Went Saturday evening and my nails badly misshapen. Went Sunday to ask them to fix the shape. Was told my hands were fat thats why they had to make the nails so big. My hands are small and I have small nail beds. When I told them this they laughed at me. Nails are still very misshapen and a lot of residue was left behind and under my nails. A complete wast of $50.
This is a horrible salon. The nail tech was cutting down a nail tip he put on my thumb nail. While cutting down the artificial nail, he cut the edge of my thumb. It bled a lot, and I had to leave to go to Immediate Care for treatment. The next day I went back to try to talk to the owner. The person who had told me she owned the shop denied being the owner. She and another worker talked to me. they refused to give me the name of the owner, or show me any of the nail tech licenses I asked to see. I am filing a complaint with the OK cosmetology board. This salon should be shut down for the public's safety.
I went in for a manicure with gel paint and had a terrible experience. The man who did my nails tried to use the tools from the previous client. The "manicure" process took about 5 minutes leaving my nails oddly shaped and sore from filing my skin. He did not get any of the dead skin off nor did he massage my hands or clean under my nails. After painting my nails he asked me to go up front to pay. I felt like the sides of my fingernails were stuck to my skin and after mentioning it he ignored me and said "That'll be $30". I questioned how it was $30 for only clipping my nails and having paint all over my skin he then began to laugh and said "Yes it's $30". I'm very upset with the so called "manicure" and do not recommend anyone to go to this place.
