L A Nails Portage in Portage, IN

I was visiting family for the holiday and wanted to have a mani/pedi. This place came up in my YELP search. I called and the person who answered was able to accommodate myself and 3 children quickly. We were greeted walking in and shown a decent selection of polish to choose from. The pedicure room was clean and there were a lot of chairs and even a butterfly chair for kids! The pedicure room was very soothing with the lighting and the massage chairs were nice. The whole staff was very nice and accommodating. There was a menu to show services available and even a chart for nail shape selection. Overall it was a great experience and when I am in the area next time I will stop for a visit.

I went here for the first time with hopes that I would be going to a good nail salon but I must say, I was very disappointed. First of all, I was a new customer didn't want to get my nails done only my toes, but I allowed myself to be convinced to get them both done. It took a very long time but that's not the bad part. A had dip nail never before have I had the top coating come off my nail, later that night it came off. I went back up there the next day and instead of receiving. Oh, I'm sorry that this happened to you. Let's get this taken care of. It was only one nail I was told I'm the only one here sit down and wait but that wasn't true, finally a lady comes out someone says something in a language that I don't speak she looks at my nail and She just begins to scratch it down and apply polish but when she scratch it down and put the polish on, it's real bumpy and not smooth I explained that to her and even showed it to her, and she just threw her hands up and say oh someone else will fix it , so now I'm supposed to sit there and wait possibly another 30 minutes just for someone to fix one nail that should've been done correctly the first time around. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. They are very unprofessional while I was there getting my nails done. I heard profanity going back-and-forth in between them and it was just too much. I'm from Texas and never have I seen such unprofessionalism in a nail salon.

A girl named Mica did my nails the nails itself turned out GREAT very impressed with the work I gave 4 stars only because I confirmed my nails would cost 47$ with her and the owner before I arrived and she charged me $52 which isn't that big of a deal but I hate when they do that  10/10 def going back

This was my first time trying LA Nails and I was not disappointed. My nail tech was Gan and she was great! She was personable, where we had some conversations, and she was very professional and accommodating.

I let her know that my nails are very sensitive and the drill that she started with, was a little too heavy for my nails. She accommodated me, and got a drill that was much lighter.

I got no chip nails and they are very nice. I will definitely be returning.

I will NEVER go to this place again. It was my first and last time. After waiting 45 mins to get my nails done, I was finally told by an employee that it would be another 30 mins because they were short on staff. But 35 mins into me waiting, someone else walked in and got helped BEFORE me because the "had an appointment " but no where on their website does it say to make an appointment. I wasted almost a hour waiting and did not get any help. They could have told me when I walked in that they were short and it was going to be a long wait. I have never left a bad review before now. I am so unbelievably disappointed.
