About three times now, I've been asked by the same young blonde woman if I had lotion and eyewear with me. (I'm sure it's a way to catch me for a quick sale of their products if I didn't have either.) Each time, I always had my stuff. Being asked that question is not the problem. I get it; it's also for safety reason. My problem is she goes FURTHER by physically inspecting my stuff (particularly my goggles). I find this practice very odd and rather intimidating. In fact, today I had the misfortune of having her once again to check me in. Sure enough, she questioned if I had my lotion and eyewear -- which were already in clear view in my hands! Still, she asked to "see them." Seriously??? Did I just walk into a military checkpoint? Quite frankly, I'd rather be strip-searched by a TSA agent at the airport; at least, they have a valid reason to do so.
