Mallorie is the best; such a sweetheart and very talented. She got my color right on the first try. My last color in Brookline, I was ashed to the point of having blue/green hair. I am 47 years old, I do not want blue hair. Alternatively, colorists make me look like a red head, because my hair has red tone to it. Mallorie nailed it on day one!
I wasnt too happy with my haircut with Jarrod at this place. I was growing my hair to get a nice cut, but when I walked out after the haircut, I didnt feel like I even got a cut. Even after 3 weeks of the cut, not only did it still not look nice, but there was no way I could style it to look nice. Finally I just couldnt take it anymore and went back to my old stylist this afternoon and am finally happy with the way my hair looks. Another thing: Jarrod is a spokesman for Nioxin products so he will try to push you to buy some. That is what they use when you're getting a shampoo. I got a headful of bumpy rashes after they used it on me even after I told them that I was allergic to herbal stuff. I dont think I'm going back again.
Here's an update to my first review. I went back to David Paul Salons last week for another one process and partial foil. I left with a wet head ( my choice as I was pressed for time) and when my hair dried I thought the highlights looked a bit brassy. I called the salon the next morning, they were super nice on the phone and told me to come back in and they would be happy to correct the color. I was able to book an appointment at a convenient time for me. Amanda did an awesome job toning down the highlights. She took the time to talk to me, discuss her strategy and made sure I was comfortable with the plan. David was great too. He came over to consult with Amanda and checked on me a few times while the toner was on. He offered me coffee/tea and made sure I was comfortable. I really like this place. It has a nice, relaxed vibe. Of course the color correction was complimentary and I was thrilled with the end result. Amanda did a great blow out too.
Have been going to this salon for 20+ years. It is professional, clean and they are very up to par in hair cutting and styling. LeeAn is my hairdresser. People ask me all the time where I go. Enough said. LeeAn goes to hair shows and classes in NYC all the time. She is great.

Mallorie is truly passionate about hairstyling and hair coloring and I truly value her opinions and advice when it comes to my hair needs. I am very comfortable going to her since she is highly skilled and experienced which is certainly a plus! I am happy to say she has cut and colored my hair for a few years now.
