L.A. Bikini in Mountain Brook, AL

Went here for a touch up on my bikini area and left with popped blood vessels along my bikini line. The staff was super friendly but the sugarists need a lot more training. There was no pattern to the removal and she was so rough I literally have bruises and popped blood vessels. There was also no sanitary paper on the table. Again, very friendly environment but they need proper training on removal techniques. I was also never asked if I was okay with the oils and sprays they used or told what they were.

I was skeptical about trying sugar waxing because I couldn't understand how ripping away hair could be less painful. Thankfully, I finally gave it a shot and visited LA Bikini.

The waiting area is really cute, with white and blue decor. It makes you feel as if you've stepped inside a really chic salon. The waxing rooms were nice and clean and my waxer was friendly and sweet.

The actual experience wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting! It is in fact, considerably less painful than traditional hot waxing and the results were just as good.

They also offer different membership packages, making it easy to keep treating yourself apriority.

I called last evening and spoke with Emma.. had to repeat my email 4 times.. then I spelled it out.. asked that she not put my credit card on file.. said it was secure in the computer.. I disagreed.. they asked me to fill out paperwork, which I did via the email I received this am...called to confirm my appointment for two days away, Emma could not find it, kept looking on the wrong date.. finally tried to make one for the original time.. I was so disappointed in their ability to follow thru, I just asked her to please take me out of the system, cancel any appointments they may have booked and DO not charge my card.. why was this so difficult? called Waxing by Marci in Vestavia , and have an appointment

I had a wonderful first time experience! My technician was kind and professional and put me at ease. She did a great job, too! I'll be back!

I just did not enjoy the experience. From the beginning everybody was cut and dry. And my technician who actually performed my bikini wax never left the room. I asked her if she was about to step out of the room she told me no. And I just thought that was ridiculous. I actually wanted to turn around and leave right then but I really needed the service as I was going on vacation. Even at your gynecologist, the doctor steps out of the room while you get undressed for a sense of privacy. And She certainly did not leave the room while I got dressed or to walk me to the front desk. And I'm just not used to that type of service. The procedure did go extremely fast though. That was the silver lining in this dark cloud. But I will be coming all the way back to Atlanta for my waxes, where I'm used to good customer service..
