L & C NAILS SPA in Monroeville, PA

I have been going to I want to see nails in Monroeville for over 15 years. I usually use Sarah but I come to find out that she left. Her husband Tim is still there but he is not in charge they are under New Management. I was not happy being tossed back and forth between nail technicians when I only use Sarah for everything and gave her the tip. The place was very unkept bathroom was filthy, and I had asked for a female nail technician and I got a male name Dave. He was so busy fumbling around trying to find things waiting on customers checking them out. On the other hand, I had my pedicure with thomasine, which have had before and is very good and speaks English because she's not Vietnamese she's American. She said she came in yesterday to find all new management and nobody even told her. I am not sure that I will go back. Now I have to find another place which I'm not looking forward to. They tell you to wash your hands when you come in but I never saw Dave wash his hands once.

Nice people and well-staffed. Loved that they accept walk ins. Matched my outfit with this cat eyed blue gel. Just Perfect! Cost was $50 total for acrylic nail removal and cat eye gel application.

Their customer service is terrible and when they fail, I doing nails correctly, they don't make any effort to fix it. Plus, you can't communicate with him.

I haven't been to L&C since the ownership changed. I went back for a spa pedicure today & I was disappointed on a bait & switch they pulled on me. They have a menu. 2 people asked me which pedicure I wanted. I picked the spa pedicure today since I'm use to getting that in the past. Little did I know that by choosing the gel on the toes was going to be extra! The gel pedicure was $15 extra & no one told me that! I assumed it was the price on the menu but when it came to pay $40 became $55! Linda was super in taking care of my pedicure but she nor anyone else said the gel was $15 extra! I'm sorry to say that's not fair business practice! Please be cognizant of going there so this doesn't happen to you!

Have had really bad experiences at a lot of nail salons in Pittsburgh. This one was absolutely awful. I was charged $35 plus tip for a 1 plain color FILL. Last salon i went to it was $35 for a full set. The place is a mess. I waited for over an hour, there is no music playing so it's super awkward inside, they have no nail dryers just little cheap fans that don't dry your nails. A guy who worked there rushed me to leave the fan and stuck his thumb on 2 of my wet nails to check if they were dry. Left horrible finger prints on a fresh expensive manicure. They encourage cash only but have an unplugged ATM inside that you can't use, there is no station to wash your hands you have to use a 1 person bathroom and which is occupied half the time you are there...just a mess. Will never be back. Save your money and go elsewhere. Will be trying Tom's nails and Angels nails next as I heard good things
