Klassiq Nail Bar in Lebanon, TN

This is my go to place for nails! I have always had a good experience but this last time wasn't too pleasant. The person asked me what I wanted then translated to the nail tech what I would like to have done. She didn't ask how short I wanted my nails, clipped them and started to file them. She cut them so short that when she was filing them, she was filing my skin. It felt like a rug burn. I pulled my hand back and that's when she noticed how short she made them. Told her to leave them alone and please do my polish. She really wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. I have never had any issues with any other techs that are there.

Not a good company to work for been with them almost a year and since my son had been out the hospital and they had new hires they didn't treat the older workers like they used to. It's like they didn't care anymore which it is a slower time of the year I get it but I didn't work on my DAY OFF I had one appointment but then said I was going home after because it was my day off. I work every other weekends so I can be with my kid and not work his life away well I had worked last weekend and was having to work on Christmas eve so on the 17th I had one appointment then said I was going home bc it was my day off then they got mad at me and told me I didn't have to come in next week either so I said okay. I'm sorry but I have been here for almost a year in march and that was just uncalled for I have sat there many days from 9:30am to 7pm and not been busy and just sitting there and you don't get paid to just sit there. So for them to fire me over me going home on my day off was a bit much then I went back to get my stuff yesterday on Monday and they already had a new hire! Just not respectful about my situation and was rude.

I want to be fair here...the shop is very clean, the equipment and chairs look new and are comfy; they use plastic bags to hold the water in the pedicure tubs. Walk-ins are OK. Nobody in the shop, evidently, speaks any English. We had an awful time finding the right color as the wall shelf didn't have anything near the mauve color I wanted. The lady did offer color samples but nothing was close until I showed her on a chart - even though my nails  still had my color on them. She gave me a nice pedi, but I had to tell her several times that I didn't want any color on my toes, just a basic pedi. I said I wanted rounded fingernails several times, but came away with some round, some flat, and three with dimples on them. Halfway thru painting my fingernails she began to hurry.  I also wanted nail art, but after asking four times and getting no answer from any employee, I asked the other lady customers in the shop who laughed and said yes, they thought the shop did art.  But by then my nails were done and it was too late. Still, none of the employees reacted to my question. It's a shame - this is a lovely shop and convenient. But they have to be able to communicate on some level with a mainly English speaking clientele! They charged me $75 to take polish off my toes, trim nails, cuticles, and hot towels, plus gel polish on fingernails with prep. About $15 cheaper than I've been able to get full gel on toes & fingers plus full massage & service elsewhere. I think they could really be a great shop with just a few changes. I'd like to be able to convey what I want and be understood without a bunch of misunderstandings and hand gesturing, lol.

This was my second visit here. This time with Kelly - I had previously seen her work from the next seat over and had to make an appointment to see her. I was not disappointed at all. I showered her two examples of nail designs and she  was able to come up with a colorful design. Her attention to detail is superb.

I've had this set for a few weeks now and I have received so many compliments.

This is my go to nail place. They do an amazing job. I can bring them a picture of a design I want and they do it. Definitely recommend.
