Kids Kuts in Mantua Township, NJ

I absolutely adore this place! They have been so amazing to my girls, I couldn't be happier with the experiences we've had. Plus, they're super reasonably priced, which helps when you don't have a ton to spend. My youngest (14mo) had her first hair cut with Sam and it turned out great. Not only did she NOT butcher my daughter's hair, but she made it enjoyable for her and she was so patient and sweet. We went again and had another great experience with a different stylist. Of course I'm terrible with names and I forget the second woman's name, but I'll have to ask next time! I've seen reviews that said it was kind of dingy inside, which I mean... no it's not the cleanest or newest, but it's a place for your kid to get their hair cut people. There's HAIR everywhere because that's all they do all day. None of these places are impeccably clean. Idk, maybe don't let your kid lick the floor? Or do. Whatever works for you. But it's kind of ridiculous to give a place that you're only inside for 15 minutes 1 star over it being outdated or there being hair all over. We recently moved out of the area and I've been driving 25 minutes to take the kids here still, so I guess you could say I definitely recommend it!

I've been bringing my two year old son here since he got his first haircut and each visit has been nothing short of great. He loves that there is a play area with an abundance of toys. I really like how it is completely child-themed and caters to making sure our children are happy and actually enjoy getting a haircut; which can be a scary thing for them! Each time we come we have gotten Nicole as our stylist and she is great at what she does. She interacts with my son as if he is part of her family and makes sure he is at ease. He's never received a bad haircut from her. Nicole is the best! Thank you for treating us so well!

Miss Jess is the best for kids cuts! She is super fast with the wee ones yet still manages to give a pretty darn good haircut every time. There are always fun movies playing to distract the kids plus lollipops galore and fun seats for them as well. I could probably save a few bucks at a chop shop (kids haircuts are $13 here) but it wouldn't be worth it.

came here with my 2 year old niecelet for her first haircut. skeptical at first because the website is VERY dated and actually references kareem abdul jabbar (wtf?). but alas, "Miss Jess" was nothing short of amazing. a real pro. she was quick, thorough, did what my sister asked, anticipatory, and kind. she let us take forty billion pictures and video (with no cynicism). even assisted with getting my niece's attention for some good photographs. provided a little certificate, a prized bag of her little locks, a lollipop and smile. all for less than $15!

We have been there several times. I have two boys, 2 and 8. I am realistic and know it is not easy to cut children's hair, but in the grand scheme..mine are really easy. No kicking or crying. They move a little more than I am sure they should. The first visit, it was crowded and the wait was long, but this is often the case at kid's places. The hair cut was ok; the woman was cold , but not mean. The only reason we went back was ..they are open on Sunday. This time was an issue. There was one woman working. She was nice when we entered. She was in the middle of cutting someone's hair who was really not happy to be there..lots of screaming. She got through it and moved down her list. When she fianlly got to my first son, about 20 mins later, she was really rude to him and he is 8 and really good. I listened, and knew she was having a rough afternoon, so ignored her. I knew my son would too. Then she turned on my husband for attempting to get her broken game system working for another boy who had been waiting very long..ok..still just having a bad day. I was fooish enough to allow my 2 year old to climb into the car and now we have an issue. She corrected him over and over..told me to make him be still. Never once did she speak nice to him, as you have to..he is 2. She should know this if it is not her first day on the job. She just corrected him and turned and held his head. I did not think he was even moving that much...maybe I just adjusted to being around children? In the end, I left shocked. The haircuts were not good. Stray hairs longer than the rest on both. Much shorter than I requested. That is not the issue..hair grows back. This is the worng job for this woman. Beware..(my husband could not believe I did not freak out ion there)!
