KD Nails Studio in Raymond, NH

I hadn't been to this salon in a few years, but they were able to fit me in at just the right time.  I'm glad I went back.

As I walked in, I was asked to wash my hands immediately.  Everybody who walked into the salon was asked to wash their hands right away.  What a great idea this is!  Imagine how many germs are NOT making their way into that salon by taking this one precaution.  While I was not required to wear a mask, everyone who worked there was wearing one.  There were multiple signs posted that anyone who is sick should reschedule.  In addition to the ordinary hygiene measures, they also had a clear screen that was pulled down between the client and technician during the pedicure service.  It was super smart and not something I had seen before.

I always get pedicures, but I never get manicures because I'm a picker.  If there's something on my fingernails, I make it my mission to pick it off.  But my nails were looking sad, so I figured I'd get a manicure this time too.  Thuy talked me into getting dip powder nails and promised there was no way I could pick them off.  Challenge accepted!  It's been 5 days, and I'm sold on these dip powder nails.  UNPICKABLE!!!  And it's not for lack of trying.  I subconsciously pick at these things CONSTANTLY and have not been able to make a chip.

Aside from the remarkable COVID protocols, I was astounded by the SPEED of my appointment.  I was there at 1:00 and was on my way shortly after 2:00 with a deluxe pedicure AND a new set of powder nails.  As Ngoc was doing my pedicure, Thuy did my manicure from the side of the pedicure chair.

These ladies are gracious and fun and work well together.  I am fidgety and not used to being so pampered, and they made me feel like a fancy lady in a movie.  I never told them I was in a rush.  I have no idea how they managed to do what they did so quickly and yet so perfectly.  

Both Ngoc and Thuy work with great precision.  I could not be happier with the results!  Thank you so much!

I have gone to many places in the past. But nothing like this place. Being in the industry(hairstylist) I am extremely picky. They do everything perfect! The best pedicures you will ever get, the best gel nails too! Being pregnant during the pandemic I didn't want to go anywhere but my husband told me to get my toes done. I have never been into a cleaner nail salon in my life! They take cleanliness very seriously. The staff is extremely friendly! You can't go wrong here!

Apparently, they are under new management. The new manager has a very cavalier attitude. My first encounter was to call to make an appointment for a pedicure. She answered the phone to tell me they were closed. You don't answer the phone when you're closed. Next she told me to call back another day to make an appointment. She wouldn't take my appointment while I was on the phone because she reminded me they were closed. This morning I made an appointment for 4 PM. I had another appointment at 2:30 PM. When my 2:30 meeting finished early I called to see if I could come in early. Apparently this new owner is the person I spoke to on the phone and she said yes come in, I said I will be there in about 10 minutes. I showed up and started to take off my coat and she looked up and said "your appointment is not until four." I said we just spoke on the phone and I repeated
the phone conversation. She looked at me and said well, your appointment is at four. That was the last straw for me. I spent more than 30 years in the Customer Service business and this is no way to provide customer service. So I told her you won't be seeing me again and she basically blew me off and said fine. I left. You may have a different experience but this woman has no business running a retail operation

To start off I would like to say the lady who did my pedicure deserves 5 stars she went above and beyond and my toes look amazing! However, the person who did my manicure barely deserves 2, I asked for a regular acrylic full set and she did the powder set  instead without asking me (which is 10$ more). There was no cuticle cleanup or anything else that comes along with a manicure. My nails turned out very lumpy/bumpy. For $65 I would've expected more out of what I got.

This would and could be a good place and is down the street from me. Like all the nail salons around here.. I have noticed they REUSE NAIL FILES!!!!! People ... this is a health code violation.... and I have gotten snubbed asking for all new files! When they are done with your nails, they should give you the file they use! It's disgusting... I do not want the cells and bacteria from the person before me! I almost called board of health. But I just will not go to any of these local salons!‍
