Amazing service for a super reasonable price. Went in on a whim, not expecting anything but came out a huge fan of this studio. My hair stylist was Akiko and she is very talented. She is also a student of their academy so my haircut was only $15, but the quality was better than that of other hair salons where I have paid four times the amount. She was very meticulous and explained every step so I knew what she was doing, I personally really appreciated her commentary because so many hair stylists never really communicate what they are doing and can lead to major miscommunication. Everyone from the front desk to the other hair stylist were friendly, welcoming and accomodating. This is definitely my new go-to hair salon! I have found my ONE!
I am updating this because they did offer to fix my hair and straighten the bottom out. I truly appreciate the fact that they do try to fix things. The reason why it's at 3 stars is because I can't glue back parts of my hair that was sheared off/double booking but I can attest to their integrity of fixing their mistakes.
I got my hair straightened- the japanese straight perm/blowout. my stylist was very sweet, but the whole process took like 6 hours... ive gotten several perms, and none have taken that long. The girl who did my hair transplanted from Japan maybe a year ago, and while she was sweet, she was not good at notifying the customer of every service she was performing and charging for. I was charged for a trim that seemed like it was for free bc of the expensive hair service I was getting. It's not a big deal, but it doesn't leave a good taste afterwards to nor be notified beforehand. I don't regret going there, but I won't be going back.
I love my haircut. Mia did a wonderful job with my hair. She noticed that I have very straight hair. I know. It felt too heavy during the hot summer months so I asked her to shear out my hair a lot. I know most Japanese salons do this. It works well for my hair but I understand it isn't what everyone prefers. She also cut cute bangs for me. Well worth $55. I went on a weekday at 11am so there was absolutely no wait at all.
I love Chiyuki!!!! She will do whatever it takes to make your hair perfect. She completely transformed my hair and I am so happy with it. I will never go to another stylist. I recommend her most highly.
