I'm sad and sorry to give a poor review. But I would like to warn anyone going for a haircut. She put my hair in a pony tail on top of my head and began cutting. She charged me. 75.00 . Ky, did not wash my hair only cut it dry. I came back the next day hoping to get a partial refund as I was so displeased. She said no. I'm sorry I tipped her as my hair was a disaster. I went to Platinum Salon, and Deborah fixed my hair!
I went to Ky's earlier this year for a blonde balayage, I showed her many pictures of what I wanted and was given crappy 2000s highlights sparsely throughout my hair. It took her about an hour from beginning to end to do my hair, this was including breaks for her to have me do chores around her shop for her (uploading profile photos, carrying out cardboard garbage). She was nice to me but aggressive with payment and took advantage of me not really knowing what was going on. At the end my hair looked awful and she didn't even dry it. I am a people pleaser and tried not to cry in front of her but completely lost it the rest of the night. This was the worst hair experience I have ever had in my life and I do not recommend her. The next salon I went to to fix it said it was the worst professional work they had seen. All of this being said the hour long session cost me 220 dollars and a whole lot more to fix it elsewhere.
Run don't walk in the other direction. I was told I needed a deep conditioning. I said okay and she proceeded to tell me how great my hair was going to look. I specifically made an appointment to get my hair styled so it would not be straight and flat and that is exactly what I got, This was for a very important event. After she told me she would curl and fix "nice" a 4 minute blow dry and straight flat hair were only half the problem. I needed just a few things trimmed on the bottom . I said I did NOT want any length off ~ she cut over an inch. After being quoted $150 for all the wonderful things she was going to do ( she said the deep conditioning was expensive ~ $40) I said I would skip that and get it done next time. Then she said ~ oh I forgot to ad $20 for styling ~ It will be $170 (obviously she forgot to deduct for conditioning) Just feel ripped off. I would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!!!
Hi I saw Ky last week. She cut and styled my hair and gave it a deep moisturizing treatment and it looks and feels amazing. Wow I didn't even realize I needed it so much. The environment was super inviting and made me feel relaxed. As awesome as it all turned out I really can't wait until my next hair appointment. Thanx Ky you're a fantastic hairstylist
