I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage by Brady Hepner. I highly recommend him! I don't usually leave reviews but it was amazing and I feel SO relaxed and rejuvenated!
I had high hopes of getting what I wanted based on seeing the results of my relative but it turned out to be an express haircut. I made it known one side of my hair was longer than the other. So she cut something but I still left with an uneven length as well as what I assume were layers and curtain bangs..? It only costed $30 and I was done in 20 mins. I declined having her style my hair because I just wanted it to end.
I had scheduled an appointment for me, my sister and my niece a couple of days prior. This was for three manis for the three of us and a pedi for me. When we arrived, my niece was told that they can't remove her acrylics, so she ended up having to watch her mom have her mani. My appointment was with Megan Whatcott, as we headed to the chair, she asked me if I had acrylics and I said no, I have SNS with gel on top. She didn't seem to want to believe me, she kept insisting that I had acrylics, which I've never had my entire life. As soon as she sat me, she foiled my nails and said "I have other appointments" and with the amount of time it will take, she said she wouldn't have time. Shortly afterwards, she left the room. When she returned, she came back with quite an attitude. She glared down at me and said "ok, I'm going to have to charge you, because this is going to take a lot if steps. I'll have to foil and file, foil and file, foil and file, foil and file" She repeated this at least four times as if it were my punishment or maybe even her punishment? There was a lot of anger in her voice and her body language was very aggressive, even to the point of throwing the foils angrily into the trash can behind her. At one point Megan said, as she glared and rolled her eyes at me again "You see, we aren't Nail Techs. We are aestheticians!" That's when I said, it's ok, I'm new to the area and I'm learning where to go and where not to go, and Foxy Nails is who did my nails last time so I'll just continue to go there. She looked up and agreed with me that I should continue to go to Foxy Nails instead. Even though she didn't actually say it in those exact words, just by simply agreeing that that's what I should do, told me everything. I started shaking inside and the only reason I didn't walk out was because I didn't want my sister and niece to feel uncomfortable, but they too could feel the tension in the room. You could cut it with a knife. Even my sister's nail person who had been having a friendly chatty conversation with my sister, went silent, my guess is that she too could feel the tension from Megan. When the other person finished my sister's nails, she walked over next to Megan and apologized to us that nobody had mentioned on the phone that KSalon doesn't have the tools to remove SNS, and she said she was sorry and that it's not our fault. I mentioned how unfortunate it was because 4 scheduled nail procedures is a big loss for their business as well as our time (as I too have owned several businesses). I thanked her and told her that I appreciated her for that comment, as she was much nicer and more considerate than Megan Whatcott. When my sister left, Megan felt a little stupid as she knows her colleague made her look bad, so she said "Are you sure you want to do this, I just want you to be happy" I said I haven't been unhappy, you are the one who came in here in a really bad mood and made it extremely awkward. She disagreed, and I insisted she absolutely was extremely moody and unfriendly and reminded her that it wasn't our fault that we were told they don't do this work. I've always been a big tipper and I left without tipping Megan. She didn't deserve a tip nor do I ever plan on returning or recommending KSalon to anyone, EVER! The sad part is, after all that, the following day, the gel on one nail chipped and others followed.
Very unprofessional. Was canceled on by BOTH of their massage therapist 10 minutes before my appointment TWICE in one week. What a joke. Pick a different salon.
