K Charles & Co. Salons in Bulverde, TX

Have had my hair done 2 at this establishment and both times I've loved the color. The first cut, the stylist went a little crazy and took off way more than I asked for so I made sure the second visit to a new stylist understood to just TRIM my hair. That being said, I left with a great cut and love my hair. I love the fact that they are a "no tip" business. After color cut and style, it's really pricy and with them figuring the whole visit into one price, it takes the stress of trying to figure out what would be an appropriate tip. They moved across the street recently and are in the Beals parking lot on the bank end. Would recommend this place.

The stylist had multiple clients at the same time. To say she was distracted is an understatement. I'm not tender headed, however I have never had anyone rip at my wet hair with a round brush before. It hurt. And she didn't seem to care. I also got an eyebrow wax. Co workers knocked on the door incessantly and she continued to be incredibly distracted. About four days after the appointment the scabs healed on my eyelids (thanks to treatment by my dermatologist). However the holes in my hair are still there... Don't waste your time. Don't sacrifice your hair. And don't waste your money, they will nickel and dime you and hit you with a bill at the end that doesn't seem to compute. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I was very disappointed in this salon that I and my family have been going to for the past 2 + years. I was turned away from my appointment yesterday because as a nurse practitioner I come into contact with COVID + patients. This company has much to learn about what constitutes an exposure and what does not. If I'm healthy and have a normal temperature I should be treated like all other non-medical clients. I should've been provided the services I was looking forward to, my appointment was made 1 month ago. I also should've received a call back, as Holly said "she would get back to me after she spoke to the owner." Very disappointed. I wonder if they would also turn away police officers and other first responders? They have lost great customers. We will not be going back.

How convenient you guys post your Covid-19 measures after turning my wife away at the door on the day of her scheduled appointment! She wasn't notified prior to her coming in and per CDC guidelines my wife has never been exposed to Covid. Well, the review explains everything. ATTENTION ALL HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND FRONTLINE WORKERS: DISCRIMINATORY AND UNEDUCATED BUSINESS PRACTICES TAKING PLACE HERE! My wife, mother in-law, and son have been visiting this location for over two years, however my wife was recently turned away for a pre-scheduled one month advance appointment because of her Nursing profession and previously treating possible Covid patients. Her profession requires her to treat patients for Covid, while utilizing all required protective equipment, so she was never exposed (per current CDC guidelines). This was all explained to Holly who still turned my wife away. My wife attempted to educate Holly on what constitutes exposure, however she mentioned they are taking orders from "management". My wife left the store very humiliated. Holly (manager) and other members of this store know my wife and her profession, yet they failed to inform my wife of their misinformed "policies" until she showed up on the day of her appointment. These policies were not provided at the door and nothing was sent out to customers in advance. I consider this situation a blessing and will no longer allow my family's money to be spent here. So much for the support of front line workers, who tend to be more diligent in following precautions than most people.

I've been to K Charles in Bulverde about 6 times for an $80 hair cut. Each time, the hairdresser has to be reminded to trim my bangs. She should not have to be reminded to do that! The last time I was there, she cut the back of my hair wrong and it would not turn under properly. I struggled with it for 10 days and then decided to go back for a "fixer" cut. They were going to charge another $80 for the "fixer" cut! They said their rule is that the customer only has 7 days for a fix up. I'm never going there again! In addition, their phone system is goofy. It puts the caller on hold for a long time just to make an appointment. And twice, they have scheduled me for a time other than what I agreed to. I would NEVER recommend this salon to anyone!!!
