I had a really great experience here considering I hadn't had my hair straightened in 6 years. I had an emergency interview and I couldn't get my hair braided in time so I was luckily able to get an appointment here. My appointment started as soon as I got there and there were no complaints in regards to dealing with my natural hair (back length / 4c). After it was straightened he showed me the split ends I had and we agreed that I needed a trim and he made sure to only cut my damaged hair. Everyone who saw my hair was very impressed and after I washed it eventually, there were 0 signs of heat damage. I highly recommend.
I went here to get my hair box braid. The parts were not done well at all. The sizes were very uneven. I bought colored hair and Juliet didn't braid it where your hair color wouldn't be shown. It looks very amateur and I immediately wanted to take it out after I came home. Very disappointed since I wanted it done to attend a wedding. I paid $160 and bought my own hair. I will never go back. I wish I realized in the store but I was in a rush to pick up my daughter because the stylist came late to the appointment. I wish I saw the yelp reviews before booking. The google reviews does not match. I will be sure to post this there as well.
The owner cut my hair uneven and set my natural hair journey back. I was scared observing the way he uses heat on other clients, yet he berated Dominican hair shops for frying natural hair. He said he could blow dry my hair to give me a proper trim, only to discover it was uneven while doing a twist out a few days after. He constantly talked about his love for money and can be ignorant with his comments on religion. Beware. the clean nice atmosphere is deceiving.
Honestly, he has talent; however, if you ask questions about what's included in the price, they get offended. It is the customer's right to ask questions about the price. Not a good way to run a business or to keep loyal customers.
I got a silk press with a trim and my hair looks and feels amazing! They truly know what they're doing and the prices are unbeatable.
